Just set your expectation right for a 2-star hotel
First of all, the hotel looks nothing like anything in the pictures that are used in the marketing material. It looks a lot more run-down and under-maintained in reality. It appears that the owner has built the place and has not put in any more funding to run and maintain the place properly.
The rooms are not cleaned properly (dust and dirt and hair lying around) so it felt more like a 1.5-2 star hotel really. Swimming pool looks dirty although I do see people swimming in it. Do not expect any amenities but it's ok for travellers like me who always bring my own towel and toiletries. Prices were hiked up due to NYE and everything else was booked out so we had no choice. Otherwise I think the prices they normally charge are 1/3 of the peak season prices which then kinda justifies the quality of the hotel...
The location is bit far off (20-min drive to Canggu and 30-40min drive to Seminyak) and it's pretty much impossible to commute from the hotel unless if you book a driver in advance. Otherwise you must rent your own scooters to commute.
If the hotel was maintained properly, it would have been a nice quiet place to stay in as it's situated in the middle of the rice paddy fields and the surrounding scenery is nice.

Everything is a bit different than other hotels.
So far from town, rust things, breakfast, very big bath, no towel, no change of bath towel during 4 days, no bath equipment except only 1 small soap and etc.
However, we could enjoy the stay there due to old Bali style.
If you don’t want to use rental motor bikes, I don’t recommend to stay there.
However, you can see honest and kind old Bali style people once you will be there.
Loistava palvelu. Pyydettäessä kaikki hoituu, eikä lisämaksuja kysellä. Hyvä aamupala. Suosittelen vuokraamaan skootterin hotellilta. Sijainti hieman syrjässä.
Pool not working (black and green and out if order for months). No-one staying here. No staff, the three security guards that helps us at 'reception' couldn't speak much English but did try to help us. Kitchen has 'blown up' and has also been out of order for quite sometime. The staff stated that they was a funding problem, and that all the Edelweiss money went to the other hotel in Kuta and they couldn't seem to get enough staff in Canggu. With all this, we eventually got in touch with the manager and Wotif and got a full refund.
