The groundskeeper told us to get a refund thru Expedia. Expedia contacted the hotel, the hotel denied our refund. They said we didn’t cancel within the cancelation time frame?? This place is such a scam. I do not recommend unless you want to risk losing your money. "

2 stars at the most. Dirty and uncomfortable.
"While the evening staff was very welcoming and the room large, everything else in this hotel was extremely disappointing. The shower was tiny and the water flow was hardly a drizzle. The room was basic and the furniture - old. Breakfast was basic compared to standard Italian hotels, and most tables in the restaurant were filthy with leftovers and crumbs from previous guests. I definitely do not recommend this place. "

Le Nicchie Guest House

Needs freshening up
"Positives: service was fast and friendly. Nicola was very helpful of where to visit in LUCERA and help with luggage. Breakfast pastries were fresh and coffee great.
Negatives: the location is a10 minute car ride to town and nothing is around (except unfinished building). Landscaping needs to be cleaned up to give the look from the photos. Any noise in the building is noticeable in the room, even chairs moving and low voices.
I picked because of the positives reviews, which I think are out of date."

My comments of the hotel, Maison Reale Foggia, IT.
"The check in was a breeze. The breakfast was the typical breakfast in Italy with Italian cakes, cut up fruits, sliced local Kraft type cheese, yogurt, Italian croissants (home made), toast bread, and Italian cookies.
The cons of the hotel:
The wifi internet never worked. Actually we could never get it took to work with our cell phones. We tried on 6 different iPhones including an iPad . When asked the hotel staff to fix the wifi internet the person who worked when we were checking out said that if it is too hot the wifi internet does not work or is not reliable. Since it was hat that day the wifi internet is not reliable.
The second problem was that when booking the hotel through hotels.com the hotel was indicating that a pool is available. When asked about the pool with the hotel staff on site when we checked in the staff said the pool was just for decorations for weddings.
The third problem or surprise was that every time we left the hotel with our car during our stay we had to leave the hotel room keys with the front desk. This was not acceptable to me. This was never explained w hen booking the hotel through hotels.com that the hotel room key must be left at the front desk.
If you want a hotel with no internet and no pool then this hotel is for you. I was looking for hotel with everything that I was promised when reserving the hotel. Upon reservation of the hotel , the hotel should have had a pool available, working internet and available, and breakfast."

"Great Agriturismo venue. Beautiful pool and outdoor area. Staff amazing - so capable and friendly and helpful. They provided information about the local area what was not available on any guides - spot on regional intel! Rooms cool and inviting! Thank you for a lovely stay!"
