"This is such a beautiful home. It is located in a quiet area close to the center of Poitiers. The house is very large, so there was plenty of room for us to spread out. Phillipe is such a wonderful host. He was so incredibly kind and generous with his time. He drove all the way from Paris to meet us. We arrived early, so he had a friend meet us at the house to make sure we were able to get in. We had so much fun getting to know Phillipe. We wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely...

"We fell in love with this old Priory as soon as we arrived. It was extremely peaceful. The grounds were extensive with the river running through the grounds. We particularly liked the little chapel & hope that if we return this will have been restored. Our gite was very clean & comfortable. Gilles was a good helpful host. We will go back."

"A nice spacious well equipped property with a pleasantly heated pool. Essentially it's located in the countryside away from any towns or major tourist spots - so factor in any extra driving. Surprisingly it was a semi-detached property but we didnt really hear much from the human neighbours, the cows on the farm across the road made more noise!"

"The photos do not do this property justice. Never stayed in a French village before so a bit reticent however what a lovely place. Secure, private, yet open and spacious. Inside the main property the open living area works very well and the smaller gite was an added bonus especially due to the added kitchen space and utilities on offer. The pool was fantastic such a great addition which we used almost every day despite the average weather. I would say for the money this is a gem and the passion...

"Perfect location for the old town- you can walk everywhere. Unfussy, clean accommodation with good kitchen facilities and comfy beds. Suggest a bit more info on directions to parking 150m away at the Notre Dame underground car park- entrance tricky to locate. I would use again."

"Charroux is a beautiful and quiet place to stay and this cottage mirrors that. The location is very private and not overlooked, and the cottage has perfect views over the countryside. Exactly as described, we will be visiting again. Tim was also extremely helpful and responsive."

"The hosts have done a great job in making this cottage really comfortable and have thought of everything-even down to the nespresso coffee machine, which I thought I was going to miss. We went for lunch at Hotel du Commerce on Sunday and I suffered food poisoning all day Monday and some of Tuesday so we came home without viewing any sights."
