Stunning Tranquil Villa with pool | Amazing Views in Caudies-de-Fenouilledes

A stunning 3/4 bedroomed villa with a pool located beside the quaint hamlet of Villeraze, in the Occitanie/Languedoc South West France. Approximately 2km from the village of Caudies de Fenouilldes. Services there include a boulangerie, bar/restaurant, butchers, pharmacy, etc..Set in a quiet, tranquil location in the foothills of the Pyrenees. In approximately one acre of secluded gardens, the villa is ideally located for easy access to the many activities and amenities nearby. These include, white water rafting, hot spas, horse riding, fishing, visits to local vineyards, and of course the Mediterranean.The villa is ideally located near the mystical vullage of Rennes Le Chateau, famous for the Da Vinci Code,as well as the many other Cathar castles in the surrounding area.

This modern villa (2002) has an open layout, bright with an abundance of space and light, in the open plan living room/kitchen. The living room has a TV, three armchairs, two coffee tables and a sofa. Wi-Fi is installed. The dining room has a glass dining table which easily seats six. The modern fitted kitchen comes equipped with cooker, microwave and fridge/freezer. The pool ( 10m x 6m ) is situated in the south facing rear garden, with uplifting birdsong and beautiful views of the surrounding forests and foothills.

*In accordance with French government ordanances, our villa's employees incorporate the highest standards of cleaning and hygiene before and after each occupancy.

Séjour en famille

Nous avons passé un trés agréable séjour et avons bien profité de la maison et de la piscine. Le fait que la piscine soit partiellement ombragée était appréciable par forte chaleur. Merci pour le cadeau de bienvenue qui a été dévoré et trés fortement apprécié! Nous recommandons chaudement. Pensez à vous munir de protections anti moustiques!

Belle propriété mais qui date un peu.

L’arrivée n’était pas simple. C’est la seconde maison sur la petite route goudronnée. De belles grandes pièces. Mais peu de renovations. Juste la sdb d’en bas. La piscine est bien mais pas très chaude. Pas clôturée pour les enfants. La seule pelouse est celle à côté de la piscine. Il n’y a pas d’airco bien que ce soit mentionné dans la description. Les gens sur place sont très gentils et serviables. On a passé des vacances reposantes. Tout près il y a qq châteaux à voir. Les autres curiosités touristiques sont toutes à une heure de route ou plus. Donc le rapport qualité prix est correct pour le bien et l’emplacement. Merci à Kate et son équipe.

Prima vakantiewoning in een mooie omgeving

Een ruime vakantiewoning, voorzien van alle gemakken zoals: wifi; vaatwasser, wasmachine, oven, magnetron enz. Schone slaapkamers, verassing was dat men al een en ander aan lokale producten voor ons in huis had gehaald, zodat wij niet als eerste meteen boodschappen hoefden te doen. Veel informatie over de omgeving. Lekker zwembad i.v.m. verkoeling en een mooi terras met eettafel e.d.

On a passé un agréable séjour, le propriétaire était aux soins avec des petits présents au frigo. La demeure a beaucoup de charme, avec une magnifique vue sur la montagne.

Trop cher par rapport aux prestations offertes

Mêmes si les volumes de cette propriété sont appréciables, son sous-équipement, et quelques nuisances sonores, la rendent inconfortable. A savoir : 1/ Pas ou peu de rangement dans les chambres, ni de siège ou autre pour poser une valise 2/ Pas assez de sièges dans le salon pour s'asseoir tous ensemble (6 personnes) 3/ Un éclairage défectueux à l'extérieur empêchant de dîner dehors quand la nuit tombe, en panne dans la cuisine, et faible dans toute la maison, avec des montages compliqués de prises multiples pour alimenter les lampes de chevets, ou autres accessoires ... 4/ Des portes de placard défectueuses ( cuisine, salle de bain, ...) 5/ Des équipements bruyants dans les 2 chambres du RC qu'il a fallu couper pour pouvoir dormir correctement (déshumidificateur, VMC) 6/ Une seule clef pour fermer la maison (2 portes avec le même canon). Ce qui complique les mouvements familiaux. 7/ Une 3è porte, donnant sur une des 2 terrasses, qui n'avait pas de clef. On ne pouvait donc pas la fermer en partant. Ce qui rendait la maison insécure. 8/ La piscine n'est pas chauffée, et le système d'ouverture-fermeture du volet roulant qui la recouvre est fragile et fastidieux à manipuler (maintenir une clef en position pendant toute la durée du cycle qui dure plusieurs minutes). 9/ Dans la cuisine : peu de matériels (il faut faire tourner le lave-vaisselle après chaque repas) et manque avéré d'équipements ménagers pour cuisiner un peu (batteur, robot, grande casserole, ...) Malheureusement, le cadeau d'accueil du propriétaire (2 bouteilles de vin local, et des craquants) ne suffit pas à faire oublier les différents manques de sa propriété quand on en demande un tel prix ! ...

Wonderful Stay

Perfect location, quiet and ideally situated for visits, hikes, activities. At the crossroads of the mountain, the river, the sea, the forest and the garrigue. We were extremely well greeted and helped whenever we needed it. Can’t think of a better place to rent! Special thanks to Dominique and Sue.

Nous avons séjourné deux semaines dans le maison . Nous avons énormément apprécié les attentions apportées lors de notre arrivée . La maison est fonctionnelle et conforme à la description. L'endroit est très calme et permet de découvrir la région . La piscine est nettoyée deux fois par semaine . A recommander.

Such a great place to stay!

The house is very spacious and comfortable and was beautifully prepared for our arrival. We didn’t meet Hillary, the owner, but he was prompt to answer emails and texts and phoned to confirm arrangements and check we had everything we needed. The housekeepers, Heinz and Muriel, live in the hamlet and looked after us well. We particularly enjoyed the delicious snacks they made for us (smoked salmon, local cheese, fresh fruit) and wine and soft drinks – it was a really special welcome. The views from the house are stunning and it was great to have outside sitting areas at the front and back of the property to give shade and sun at different times of day. The pool was very welcome, is a generous size and well maintained with plenty of loungers around. You will need a car for your stay as the supermarket and restaurants are a short drive away. Villeraze is a very small hamlet, just a few houses really, but there are interesting lanes and footpaths from the house, if you like to walk. We chose to relax most of the time but had some good trips out to the local Cathar castles (Puilarens and Peyrepertuse are very close), the Galamus Gorge and on the Red Train. The house worked well for two couples with bedrooms and a bathroom on two separate floors. The living space is huge and open plan with kitchen, dining and sitting areas. It is bright and airy and the sitting area is very comfortable with enough soft furniture for everyone. There is good Wifi, tv/cd player etc and lots of novels. The kitchen is a good size with plenty of worktops and the British essential - a teapot! It didn’t affect us, but I felt that the stairs might be tricky with small children and there isn’t much flat space for outdoor games. We had a great time and would be happy to recommend this property.

Everything perfect! Location, area, property and amenities, welcome & attentiveness from Heinz & Muriel, weather. Didn't have any television at all but in a way that was a relief. Managed to get CBeebies for my granddaughter from the internet on my laptop.

Magnifique propriété idéale pour vacances en familles

La maison est vaste, confortable et bien aménagée. Elle permet à 6 personnes de vivre agréablement sans se bousculer. La piscine et le jardin sont très plaisants, avec des arbres fruitiers généreux. Le hameau est isolé au calme, sans pollution lumineuse ce qui est formidable pour admirer les étoiles filantes et les autres. Le calme permet de se reposer et de vivre à son rythme. Enfin l'accueil est très sympathique, très disponible et les personnes ont été charmantes. Donc un séjour formidable et on a regretté de partir si vite. La région proche regorge de paysages magnifiques et de promenades. À recommander.

Ein sehr schönes Ferienhaus in toller Lage!

Das Ferienhaus liegt in einer herrlichen Landschaft. Man hat absolute Ruhe und ist doch sehr schnell an der Straße, die zu schönen Ausflugszielen führt. Es war alles sauber, und der Vermieter und sein Verwalter Heinz sind sehr nett. Zur Begrüßung gab es einige leckere Lebensmittel im Kühlschrank - ein toller Service! Für die Kinder war der Pool, den wir ganz für uns alleine hatte, ein absoultes Highlight!!! Sie haben jeden Tag viel Zeit darin verbracht. Einziger (kleiner) Nachteil: Obwohl als "Nichtraucherdomizil" ausgeschrieben, roch es anfangs nach Rauch. Früher wurde darin geraucht. Doch man hat sich schnell dran gewöhnt und wenn man viel lüftet, ist es nicht so schlimm. Insgesamt aber eine tolle Unterkunft, vor allem für Familien mit Kindern!
