"This is an excellent hotel in a great location. Staff was friendly and helpful. We booked a Junior Suite. Although not really a suite (just a large room) the room was well done with a large balcony. I have a couple of reasons for taking off a star. First, I could hear the people in the room above walking and the room next door talking. This is a pet-peeve as when I want to sleep, I need quiet and not muffled conversation and laughter in the room next door. Second is the balcony smoking policy....

"Our room was large but basic but well priced. Pool was nice and brekky was good. The staff were good. The ad showed a sitting area in the lobby which we were planning on using but were told on arrival it was a private area - this aspect dissappointed us. I think a car is neccessary when staying here"

"Chateau Cavanac has the most beautiful pool i have ever experienced. The food was very good but you had to have 3 courses for dinner which you can do for a couple of days but after that we would have gone out to eat dinner.
