"Cosy clean cottage with everything you need. Lovely village and some nice walks. Lovely and cool inside during the hot weather. The only downside was i thought from the photos that the garden was fully enclosed but there was a big hole in the wall leading onto the road which meant we couldn’t let our two small dogs loose, however we did mange to temporarily block it up with garden items for our stay! It’s also worth noting that the neighbour shares access through the garden which we didn’t realise from the listing. But all in all a lovely place to stay "

"Postgate Barn was everything we hope it would be and more; it's location is great for exploring the North York Moors and the views across the valley are spectacular if you have the weather!The Barn is perfect for 2 couples and has all the amenities you will need, including a well equipped kitchen. The welcome touches were very much appreciated!Mark and Moya are superb hosts, with quick communication and offers of advice/support if needed."

"We have just returned from a wonderful week on the North York Moors. The beauty of the moors was just added to by our amazing accommodation - extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean and so well equipped. Rachel and Rory were excellent hosts, their local knowledge was invaluable and nothing was too much trouble. We rate our stay 10/10, we cannot recommend it highly enough. Thank you"

"We fell in love with the cottage from the time we first entered - to find everything needed to make tea and biscuits, and a vase of flowers in the kitchen (and the unique feature - the cell door and barred windows on the old police cell!) The cottage had plenty of space and was very comfortable and well fitted - comfortable beds and linen, plenty of towels, well equipped kitchen and everything nice and clean.The heating system was of a type I had not previously encoutered, burning wood pellets, but the comprehensive instructions in the house guide made this easy to use and it worked perfectly. Add to this an ideal location for exploring the moors (and the local pubs and co-op), and this is a cottage I would love to return to another year."
