"The room I booked wasn't available because it sustained property damage from a previous renter. The host reached out and asked if I would be willing to stay in a different room and gave me a 40 refund because it was smaller. I never saw the original room but it seemed a lot smaller. No kitchen, no lounge chairs. It felt like a Motel 6. And it shared a wall with a family with a child. "We were in Longview for a family gathering. This house was a great space - upstairs and down - beds for everyone (had 9 adults, 2 kids). We enjoyed sitting on the deck in the evening but when we came in for dinner and/or just hanging out talking, there wasn’t enough seating for a large group. That would be the only negative."

"My friend and I had a lovely few days in this sweet little home. Comfy beds, well-stocked kitchen, everything we needed. The back of the home opened up to a deck and a large yard, which would have definitely been utilized if it wasn’t February! The owners were very responsive to our questions and needs….so much nicer than dealing with a property management company. We really enjoyed our time at Fern Hill!"

"I booked the room for my elderly aunt. She was treated like royalty by this amazing staff! We ended up in separate hotels and I was nervous about her being alone, but she could only rave and praise the hotel and the staff. We've stayed there in the past and they recently renovated their rooms. It was gorgeous! "
