"This is the picture postcard Cotswold experience. Staying in a rustic converted barn, with a cottage style garden, overlooking the rolling hills and fields. We had the best time in a beautifully kept property. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Rooms are spacious and modern. Technology is great and you have everything you need for the perfect experience."

"We had another lovely stay at the Lower Mill estate. Kids enjoyed the watersports, bike rentals, swimming and tennis and the independence of having it all within easy access. The cottage was a good space for the 2 families - 2 mums, 4 kids with a well stocked kitchen. It was a little dusty as nobody had stayed for awhile, which did also mean a lot of quite large spiders. Probably inevitable as you are so near the water but they were some of the biggest I have ever seen or had to deal with!"

"Our Accomodation met all our needs. The kitchen was a little small but adequate. We loved being able to paddle board from the rear of our Accomodation. We did get stuck in the reeds though. Perhaps they need a little trim. The outdoor pool was heated so the kids were happy to splash around before dinner. We didn’t use the Spa. We did a couple of walks around the village and a little bit of nature spotting. I think it would be a good idea to create a larger adventure play area for the 10+...

"Bedrooms lovely but tight around beds. but en-suites quite roomy. So easy for different groups to do different things in the huge barn dinning/kitchen/lounge. Our 4 and 6 aged grand sons loved the space and outdoors games. Trampoline, football, table tennis etc. Google the grinding barn for easy location guidance as 3 of our 4 cars struggled with the given directions."

"Great position with lovely views. It was perfect for our family gathering with plenty of space. Really good communication with the owner. The approach is incredibly steep it was much better arriving from the top of the hill downwards. Great outside space would be lovely in the summer."

"The photos really don't do the sheer tranquility of the settinf justice. Total isolation in the cotswolds, beautiful surrounding scenery. The house is nice if not new spec on all the funishings, but the real win is the location and the setting. Perfect for our group of friends who wanted to relax and stay up late drinking and chatting and enjoyinf the hot tub. But I'd also come back with my family any day of the week. If you do stay, check out the Rose and Crown in Shilton for a great meal."
