"The location was excellent! After a 3 night stay, we headed off on a cruise, and this accommodation had us a very short walk to the 3€ cruise shuttle. Also location wise, we were very close to the harbour promenade and the trendy neighbourhood of Gothic Quarter, which was great for wandering and eating out.
All in all, we felt very safe, although the location immediately outside the hotel (La Rambla) becomes very seedy late at night. Totally out of control of the hotel is that La Rambla is undergoing a major construction upgrade, and this is taking several years. This was only a minor inconvenience for our stay however, and certainly didn’t interfere with sleep quality.
Our room was ok, although very small for Western standards. We had a double bed with only very limited access around the bed, and not much space to lay down suitcases. But there is plenty of hanging space and also a decent safe.
All in all, I would stay again."
