The Castellana Caves (Italian: Grotte di Castellana) are a remarkable karst cave system located in the municipality of Castellana Grotte, in the province of Bari, Apulia. They are one of the most famous show caves of Italy. The caves, discovered in 1938 by the speleologist Franco Anelli, are situated 1 kilometer (0.62 mi) south of Castellana.The entrance is represented by an enormous vertical tunnel 60 meters (200 ft) long. The main cave is named "La Grave" (as abyss), and others are named Black Cavern (Caverna Nera), White Cave (Grotta Bianca) and Precipice Cavern (Caverna del Precipizio).

"We had an absolutely wonderful holiday at Trullo Brunaldi. The property manager Nadia was fabulous, so helpful and friendly. She promptly answered any queries I had during the stay too. The property was beautiful, renovated and furnished to a high standard. The pool was lovely too. "Really enjoyed our stay in this villa and would definitely recommend. Everything was super clean, comfy, with perks like an enclosed beautiful and clean jacuzzi and sauna and outdoor shower. Pool was gorgeous but a bit too cold to swim. AC and heat was very welcomed in the house and screen doors and windows were great for mosquitoes as there were a lot a night. It is a 10min drive from a grocery store and downtown Pulignano a Mare (which is charming) so you definitely need a car. It is in a...
