"Mammy’s Cabin was perfect for a long weekend away from the city. The cabin is rich in history and bursting with charm! We loved reading the story of how Mammy’s Cabin came to be- and finding our own connections along the way! The kitchen is well stocked, bed is comfy, and the views are spectacular! The hot tub was perfect after a day of hiking. We enjoyed cooking, local restaurants, and nearby hikes! It was a great weekend and we hope to be back!"

"We enjoyed our stay! The house was clean and perfect for us and 2 kids. We enjoyed fishing in the creek and caught a few trout. We enjoyed playing games at night and built a bon fire. The location was perfect. We were able to visit some nearby waterfalls and drove south to Tallulah falls and Clayton Georgia for a day as well!"

The driveway to the house was a bit rough due to recent rain but 4 wheel drive wasn’t needed. We would definitely stay again."

"My husband and I came to celebrate our 7yr wedding anniversary! It was perfect. We can’t recommend this enough! The host are extremely accommodating and made our stay even better! We had to change the date last minute and they helped us with no hesitation! We relaxed, fished, enjoyed a near by hike, and felt like we had the entire lake to ourselves. We can’t wait to come back with the kids and let them experience Mt Lake Rest!"

"I go to the mountains at least six times out of the year. I usually stay in Maggie Valley which is beautiful as well. The lo ation of this home was perfect, secluded but with breath taking views. My family will be back. Home nice clean and decorated to perfection. The drive up the mountain wasnt bad, follow the signs turn of traction control and dont let off gas. I cant wait to book this property again."

"This was the perfect place for friends and family to celebrate my son's graduation from Clemson Univ. The house is very nice and the owner has thought of everything....well equipped kitchen, plenty of bath towels, extra blankets, and tons of games in the downstairs rec room. Plenty to do outside too if you like to paddleboard or kayak, Or just enjoy the fantastic views from the upper deck! Highly recommend."

Poor customer service.
"The woman who checked us in was very rude. We love staying at your hotel and I requested a room with a balcony. This was the second time that my request was not acknowledged but after some heated exchanges the lady finally gave me a room with a balcony. The room had a leaking commode and I tried to report it but the clerk spoke such broken English that it was hard for her to understand what i was trying to tell her. This is not the first time we have stayed at this hotel because of its location on the river is so relaxing but when you have to experience what we did it’s had to want To go back. "
