"Lovely rural authentic hotel in Alpujarra. Good base for exploring. Excellent service - thank you Victor. Nice breakfast to start your day. Coffee, tea, bar and snacks available. No dinner available but bar/restaurant across the street and two small restaurants a short walk away. Quiet and peaceful location. Parking just outside hotel. "
"A beautiful small hotel with outstanding views. Although it is up a steep hill, the hotel, although basic, is everything you need for a few days stay. The restaurant next door is very good, and used by touists and locals alike. If you are hiking, the hotel has lots of info on trails and is near the start of most main routes."
"It is a great place to stay. The owner did everything possible to make our stay perfect. We really enjoyed our time there. The only defect that I could think of is that it doesn't belong to me!"
"Perfectly situated for walkers and cyclists. We were visiting family. Only minor complaint is that coffee and water in the room were t checked by housekeeping we had to ask at reception. "
"We spent a wonderful weekend at EL Violin Experiecia, and we are sure we will be returning for longer stay!
The hotel has only 3 rooms, therefore ensuring private, calm and relaxing experience. Our room was spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The property has a pool with sun loungers, and several private locations in the garden to enjoy atmospheric dinner. The owners are welcoming and friendly; them made every effort to ensure enjoyable stay. They are also serving breakfast (with...
"This is an older but very well kept family owned hotel. It doesnāt have any real amenities to speak of. But it was extremely clean and the staff is very accommodating. This small town has plenty of restaurants and bars. A public pool and other things to do. I highly recommend it."
"Simple hotel on the edge of Orgiva. Recommend top floor rooms with a large terrace and a balcony to enjoy the view over the surrounding mountains. Room was large, spotlessly clean and with a great bathroom. Would have appreciated a hairdryer, modern pillows and better soap and towels but all in all it was great value"
"Lanjaron is a little tired compared to other towns and villages we visited on our trip.
Hotel was clean and tidy, new sealant around the bath required, suite brown (probably lovely in its day) but clean. Bed not great, we could feel the springs popping, not comfy and felt old. Decor plain and old fashioned.
The outside was well maintained and a good size pool but we didnāt use.
We paid for breakfast which was ok.
Value for money, compared to other hotels on our trip, not great. "
"Dany is nice but I didn't find that property looks like listings photos ! In my Opinion this is good bed and breakfast that can make the trick for a getaway holiday (it was not my case)"
"The property is very basic, but clean. It is in a noisy location where there is a lot of noise from the street late at night. In the room you can hear every time someone else in the hotel flushes the toilet or walks around throughout the night, endless noise and we didnāt sleep very much. Having said all that, it was only Ā£37 a night! What do you expect for that price. Overall it served a purpose for 1 night, but we would not return."
"I normally donāt complain but this time I should as this hotel needs to do at least standard service.
Our accommodation was with kitchenette but there was no kitchen knife and chopping board. I believe these items are basics.
Sleeping for 3 people, but only one blanket was supplied.
This hotel reception was supposed to be open from 16:00h to 21:00.
I went to the reception to get these missing items at 18:00h, 18:30h, 19:00 and 20:00h.
The door was closed and no one was there during this...

"We stayed for 5 nights on half board for a walking holiday. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and, in particular, the swimming pool in the early evening. The reception staff were highly professional and the restaurant staff were friendly. The evening menu only changes once a week which meant some repetition in our actual selections of food."
"The host, Elena, was very responsive and helpful. Casa Josefa is comfortable and very tastefully decorated with outstanding views from both the balcony and the terrace. The center of the village is close as our some gorgeous hikes. We loved our stay in Capileira !"
"We wanted to experience the Sierra Nevada and the Alpujarra in winter. We chose Cortijo Alguaztar because it looked amazing and its location promised mountains, it more than delivered on both. The cortijo is beautiful both inside and out, and has everything one could possibly need, with well equipped kitchen, lovely bathroom and comfortable beds. Our host, Nadia, was incredibly helpful and kind. And then there are the views: snow covered high peaks to the right, the Mediterranean to the left (one can see the lights of Africa at night) and breathtaking vistas in between. We had a fabulous week and would not hesitate to recommend a stay here. Thank you Nadia!"
"When we arrived we were greeted by our host, shown our room which was large and had a king sized bed which was very comfortable, also with a sofa bed, patio doors onto a private balcony overlooking the mountains. There was no snow close by but we were assured it may snow anytime.
A very enjoyable experience. Thank you"
