"We found the property clean but lacking, certainly not "Superb". The decor was sparse e.g. bare light bulbs. Negatives Bathroom: no mirror, no towel rails, only one hand towel in the property for three. Kitchen: Two sets of knives & forks for three, no large glasses or wine glasses, no fire blanket/extinguisher, no downstairs smoke alarm I could spot. "Pros: Really good communication from host. Decorated nicely. Log burner (extra charge if using hosts logs). Milk in fridge. 8 minutes drive to Beamish museum. 4 minutes drive to a really good play park and splash area, by the river. Comfy beds and bedding. The accommodation was really clean. Shower heats up quick, large shower head. Dog bowls and biscuit treats - nice extra. Cons: Oven was broken by previous guest (on request, host was really good at providing air fryers). "Water was leaking in two of the three rooms from the ceiling onto the beds and along the walls of the rooms. We were able to use only one of the three rooms. Our host informed us of the problem per e-mail at about 7PM but we were unaware of that message as we were driving. Upon late arrival at about 11:00PM we were informed of a leak in one of the rooms but soon discovered that water was dripping onto the bed in the second bedroom. "The room was well-appointed and perfectly maintained. Nicely located in a quiet neighbourhood with great views of the river Tyne. City centre is a short uphill stroll away. Friendly and super helpful staff. Definitely the accommodation of choice for future visits."

"Visited from Glasgow for Sam Fender at St James park. Stayed here before because of how close to the stadium it was and it never disappoints. Staff are great, rooms are a good size. Could maybe do with a little rejuvenating but that’s the only complaint about the place. "
