"Short walk to the beach, 3 minutes tops, when traffic is heavy, less on weekdays. The shower pressure was top notch, bathroom was very clean. The back could use some cleaning up and the entrance was a little off-putting, but once you open the door to the living space, it is clean. Most of the beach chairs were too rusty to use, thankfully we brought our own. We really enjoyed our 4 night stay, and it was nice that we could bring my mother and her dog. "My husband, chihuahua and I stayed at the cottage for 4 days while in Virginia. We loved the view of the water from all the windows that allowed natural light in. We watched all the birds and crabs while sitting on the back porch. The location is great for visiting all the Historic areas. We took a segway tour and Ghost tour in Yorktown. We spent a whole day walking around in Williamsburg. Being a history buff my husband really enjoyed it. I even learned a few things. LOL I would recommend...

"Location is the ONLY perk to this property. Upon arrival we found the place to be minimally tidy and the smell of mold. It isn't adequately stocked with even a counter cleaner, toliet paper, paper towels, 3 forks.I asked if we could be provided with a few things including batteries for thermostat that were low, few fans (place does not properly cool) She was out of town and told me to buy whatever I needed to make our stay better and she would reimburse, which she did. "Great location. Small but perfect for close friends and family. Water heaters are small but manageable with quick showers. Overall a great place to stay and great communication with property owners. Would and will definitely stay again."

"The house was very clean and so cute. It had everything we needed and then some. The kitchen was fully stocked, the back porch was so nice and quiet, and the beds were so comfy. We had so much fun during our stay. There is even a nice playground within walking distance off the ocean we walked to a few times. The host was awesome and stayed in contact. She responded almost a soon as I text her. She really wants you to have no worries and make your stay perfect."

"A pleasant house for our family. Quiet neighborhood located close to everything we needed. Fenced backyard with a pergola was perfect for everyone, enjoyed especially by their small dog. "Just like thay stated. A dual family under renovation. If you want shiny granite and huge bathrooms you won't be happy. Larger than expected. Highly recommend this place if coming to visit family at Norfork Naval Base. Close to the base, beautiful beach. Kitchen is workable. Wish they had a few more drinking glasses and a can opener but stores were very close by and we were able to pick some up."

"We left the property an hour after arrival due to the tremendous smoking smell in the property, the dirty and stained couches (one smells of urine), and busted window screens which kept us from being able to open windows and air out the duplex. For minimal investment in screens and going to a thrift store for clean sofas, this property could be fine, smoking smell aside. The other side of the duplex, I suspect is lived in semi permanently as when I contacted the owner about the smoking smell,...

"Wonderful owners with phenomenal communication. They were very patient and super responsive to messages. They went above and beyond to make us comfortable. Property had everything we needed and more and was steps from the ocean. The beach itself was private and not crowded at all. This was our 2nd time staying and will definitely not be our last."
