Casa Grande Mountain Retreat - Adults Only
5/5 Excellent
"The staff was very friendly and helpful. When I arrived I was given a room right next to the pool, with a loud system right outside the door. I immediately requested a room change and they were very kind and gave me a much quieter spot. Definitely call before and request a room away from the pool. It might also be helpful to request a room that overlooks the mountains and not the garden. The garden side is basically a wall of greenery, it’s nice but there’s no view or direct sunlight. This was one of the few places where the pictures are 100% accurate.
My hotel room was cute, clean and comfortable. The restaurant has vegan options but is not vegan. This was a bit of a bummer because Im vegan and I ate most of my meals there. The menu was also the same everyday. So it became a bit “meh”.
I went solo and I was not prepared for how terrifying the drive there would be. I rented a car and followed the instructions they emailed the day before. I do wish they’d e-mail that much earlier and more than once, I’m a planner and had printed directions in case my gps didn’t work only to find out from that email that the gps would likely be wrong and I didn’t have access to a printer. It added a bit of anxiety. The area is all blind turns and narrow roads, so be prepared! During 1 excursion I ended up on a 1 lane dirt road on a cliffside, I almost started to cry 😭 BUT I made it and you (probably) will too:)
The pool was great and I got a massage that was lovely. Overall it was great! "
