"Very beautiful area, close to dark sky. Had all needed amenities. Close to Wilderness State Park, Mackinaw, etc. the only concern, some window screens were missing or had holes. They may have been stored away for the end of season."

"It is always a pleasure staying at Lakeside. The lake was lovely and we were able to sneak a campfire in between the rain storms. Make sure to read the notes that Ritchie sends your way as it spells out exactly what you need to bring - trash bags, shampoo, etc. On VRBO, the pet fee was not very clear. ..."

Close enough to Mackinaw City to be convenient, but far enough away that you feel quite secluded. Carp Lake, even in the heart of summer, is not a very busy place. Recommended.
