Architecturally Designed Sea View Villa in Carovigno, Nr Ostuni with Heated Pool
10/10 Excellent
"We enjoyed a week’s stay at this fantastic villa. We often do self catering holidays and so it’s key that a property provides all the essentials for both a comfortable and practical stay. Everything we needed was available and the welcome pack was well thought out and gratefully received. The villa is light and airy with tasteful decor and worked perfectly for my family. Even though the location seems quite rural, a trip into Carovigno was a mere 10min drive. We found parking easily, and a good selection of supermarkets to hand. The town was a charming little place that offered a decent amount of cafés and restaurants. Some of our favourite meals were had here. Got to say though, the jewel in this villa’s crown is the exceptional service provided by Nykola. She was amazing - helpful at every turn and providing guidance throughout our week. She has an insane ability to preempt what you need and then offers the information before you’ve even asked. I think I would return just to meet up with her again overall, we had a wonderful stay in Puglia and would happily stay here again. "
"Not clean. Trullo bathroom unclean with personal effects of the previous guests.Towels shabby. Outdoor kitchen-dirty & disorganized. Fridge dirty. Rodent droppings and dirty cloths below cooker. It smelt. Kitchen cloths dirty and from another era. Pots, pans etc. thrown into a plastic cupboard. Eventually got water glasses, expected to use plastic. Presented unclean - we found this disrespectful and totally unacceptable. Apulia is a beautiful place and this stay does not represent the beauty and the quality of accommodation elsewhere. Move on. We left early."
"A very cozy home in a quiet neighborhood. There is ample parking for the necessary car. We drove to the town of Ostuni for dinner and walk around town. We also drove to ‘beach’ areas.
The hotel definitely met our needs. The breakfast was amazing. "
"We just stayed for 2 nights but the staff made us feel so welcome. The view was great in spite of the railway line between us and the sea. We cannot fault the dinner and breakfast food and the staff were so accommodating to our children.
I was disappointed that the room had disposable wooden stirrers for drinks rather than teaspoons and that we had to have plastic cups for drinks by the pool although i do understand the safety aspect ( maybe reusable plastic cups could be used?). I did also feel the main pool needed a fresh lick of paint.
Overall, the place was amazing and i would highly recommend to anyone wanting a quiet and peaceful location with delicious food"
"We were greeted with a table full of home made goodies, most of which came from the garden. Didn't use the pool as it turned chilly. The grounds are beautiful. It's like something out of the movies. A large property very well kept, beautifully lit, and gated. The smaller bedroom off the patio was a bit small, but cozy. The other bedroom was quite large and had a large tub. The hosts were very pleasant and helpful. We stayed 4 nights and never really got the hang of the alarm, but it was only slightly annoying. We would not hesitate to stay here again. Thank you"
"Gianni was a great host/manager. Very engaged and caring. Hotel is extremely clean and unique. Breakfast was great with special thanks to Lucia for here freshly made cakes and pies each day!!"
"Very nice hotel to stay, beautiful area. Rooms are cleaned every day. You must have a car to stay in the area to get around. Special thanks to Viviana, Cosimo and Giuseppe for the great customer service and professionalism. "
"We were given this accomodation after our awful experience in Ostuni. It was out in the sticks with nothing nearby. We arrived late so were offered dinner, which we welcomed as there was no alternative nearby. The food and rooms are basic with hard lumpy pillows and no real room service, attempting to make a bed and not actually do anything else is not room service in a so called 4 star hotel.. No kettle in the room and no wifi or phone signal. We ventured out one night but found the surrounding area devoid of life with everything shut. If we hadnt had a car we would have struggled.
We checked out a day early but were charged 65 euro for our complimentary dinner. We explained, asked to speak to a manager but no one turned up.
Expedia's customer service is not great when things go wrong. Putting us out in the sticks when we had booked a stay in ostuni was a horrendous experience.
Thos hotel is tired and barely has the basics so save your money and do yourself a favour and book somewhere else."
