Welcome to Starfish East island retreat! Featuring two bedrooms and one and half bathrooms, Starfish East is one side of a duplex, located on the popular Laika Lane just 8 homes from the beach.  This location offers easy beach access in the heart of Captiva Village area. Close to all the favorite island restaurants, bistros, shops and live music.  Enjoy this quiet neighborhood just steps to access to the Gulf of Mexico. Starfish West also available with an additional two bedrooms for extended family and friends.

Complimentary resort access to 'Tween Waters Island Resort and Spa on Captiva Island.

HOME FEATURES
Starfish East Island retreat is a two bedroom, one and half bathroom duplex, located on Laika Lane in the heart of the Captiva Village. This unique property features a well-equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, smart TVs, free WI-FI and comfortable seating in the open living and dining room. Featuring a king bed in the first bedroom, two twin beds in the second bedroom and a smaller sleeper sofa in the living room, this unit can allow up to six guests (4 adults comfortably). The unit also features a shared gas grill and beach equipment in the below covered car port. Starfish has been an Island favorite treasured by many for years with its popular location. If you need additional space, check out Starfish West, which is the unit next door and has the same set up as Starfish East. Each side can be rented separately or together, depending on availability.

Want to bring your furry friend? Starfish East and West allows up to 1-2 small dogs (25 lbs or less), with Owner approval. Please inquire to bring your dog before booking, as a mandatory pet fee is required. All dogs must be approved before arrival. No Cats.

Disappointing

Starfish is very basic accommodation with no homey touches. The outdoor deck overlooking the street is not private and is very close to the house next door which has an outdoor pool and ping pong table. The noise level kept us from enjoying sitting outside. We left 3 days early. But the house is a short walk to the beach and restaurants. Tub does not drain. Spotted a rat under front steps.

Starfish East is not what is advertised

Cockroaches crawled over my feet as I sat on a stinky stained couch. Broken cupboard and dresser drawer. Kitchen lacking any larger pots, pans and bowls so unless there are only 2 in your party......you can't prepare a meal! Clogged tub so water was mid-calf while showering. Never again!!

Just wanted to confirm, it says sleeps six, yet there were only four bath towels for our entire party, two beach towels, two rolls of toilet paper and no additional garbage bags besides the ones already in the cans. A cookie sheet would have been helpful. As we were a party of 5 but only for three nights we made due by washing/sharing. It might be noted in the description that towels, etc are not included...
