"We received great instructions from Amina on how to access the room which were easy to follow. If arriving in the day, the ground floor is where a lovely flower shop is, then up a lift. There are then 9 easy steps down to where the room is located. This was our 4th stop on our trip and by far the best room. "Room was clean. Excellent service. As with most cities in Italy, this is slightly in ZTL zone so had to park, walk up hill, check in, walk back down hill, and move car. The hostess helps you register rental car for the ZTL so you can park closer. To see main Sienna, there is an escalator nearby so you can ride to the top."

"We stayed at this basic but nice 3-star hotel just one night while visiting Siena. We had a room for 3 for my wife and I and our adult daughter. The hotel was easy walking distance from the train/bus station. It's kind of weird because you enter an indoor shopping area across the street from the station and then go up about 6 banks of escalators to get up the hillside. Then the hotel is just a block away. One of the AC units didn't work but friendly staff helped start the other one. All staff were very friendly and spoke English. Easy walk a few blocks into the old city. Wonderful breakfast!!! We were able to leave our bags for most of the day while we explored the city prior to leaving on the bus again. I would definitely stay again."

"We loved our stay at the Palezzetto Rosso in Seina. The building dates back to medieval times, mostly brick and stone, so travelers will definitely get the historic feel. The rooms, however, have very modern design features. The main feature of the room in which we stayed was a glass enclosed shower and sink area in the center of the room. As long as privacy is not a concern, this is not a problem. The toilet is in a different room that you access by exiting the shower/sink area, walking around the bed, and then entering the toilet. It is definitely an interesting design feature. The problem we did have with the shower/sink area is that there were no lights inside - to use this area you had to turn lights on for the whole room, which could disturb someone still sleeping. Also, there were no cabinets or shelves in the sink area since it was all glass, and the only mirror was a small portable one on the slim counter. It made shaving a little difficult. Despite these minor quirks, we loved the place. The lobby area was open all the way to the top of the building and the decorations retained the historic feel of the palace. Breakfast was served in this area, and they also had liquors available for after hours - guests paid using an honor system. All the staff members we encountered were outstanding and attentive to all of our needs, from calling taxis to arranging activities. We definitely would stay here again."
