"Stayed two nights here and wished it was longer. Chance upon this b&b randomly and had a wonderful stay beyond our expectation. The location is really convinient to all the attractions in Cape Town and jo-Ann and Johan are wonderful hosts who provide excellent recommendations on things to do. The grounds are gorgeous and the breakfast is fantastic. Definitely a must stay for anyone visiting cape town. "

"Had a Marvellous time - The staff make you so welcome and everything is catered for excellently- from breakfast to assisting with dinner reservations, places to see, the owner even went to get a razor and shaving cream from the local shop as I had forgotten mine, Champagne for our anniversary - I can not recommend this place enough it’s a place of tranquility and splendour."

"Stunning bedroom views from this lodge and exceptional service and kind attitude from Shannon ! Food was also great. It’s an older lodge that has been upgraded with excellent bathroom fixtures and main bedroom lighting. Wifi is a little slow, early morning hot water taps need to run a bit before hot water arrives and the sliding partition in our room 2 needs to be replaced with a frosted glass door as the current wooden sliding partition is a little stiff to open . Otherwise an excellent choice...

"Stayed here 2/19/24 through 2/21. Location and property are absolutely beautiful, but unwalkable from downtown Franschhoek, so you'll need a rental car or us their recommended taxi service via Whatsapp if you plan to drink lots of wine. Uber was not reliable in this area. The staff were very nice and the breakfast options were good, but limited. I would highly recommend this location. "

"We had a wonderful stay at the Sunset Cottage. The home was quaint, romantic, and had a great view. The restaurant was great (we ate breakfast there). Close walk to town. Everything was perfect! "

The gardens and farm are not a performance - at over 2000 acres and something like 700 staff they somehow manage to seamlessly blend luxury with genuine production, and the variety is extraordinary. "The room was spacious and most comfortable. The view of False Bay was stupendous - to die for! The owners, Richard and Bart, could not do enough for us and were always available to attend to any issues we had, however small. Not that there were many. All in all it was one of the best stays we have experienced for years. We shall return!"
