This is a great location to stay with easy walk to Stellenbosch. The rooms are superb, beautifully furnished with a sumptuous bathroom. The breakfast is served in a beautiful restaurant by the river next door and the service and food were excellent.

We stayed in Southern Sun de Wagen in March 22 and came back to this property for a reason. Its excellent. Thank you to Mellissa for warm welcome. This time we stayed in Luxury room which was situated outside of the courtyard as all the courtyard rooms were booked at the time i was making the booking. I have to say go for the courtyard room if you planning to stay. Luxury room is same as the others but you pay extra €40-€50 per night for having small fireplace in the room and a bath as well as shower. The fireplace is useless if you travelling in the summer time. Bath not worth the price..The restaurant, breakfast and dinners are fabulous and in beautiful setting. A special THANK YOU to waiting staff. Every single person who served us was magnificent! The only observation is they must work some crazy hours. Same person who served us till 11PM and cleaning after was there for 7AM breakfast serving

We had a fantastic stay! The hotel is right in the centre of town yet tucked away in a beautiful little pocket so it's quiet. The breakfast in the great restaurant next door is outstanding as well. Highly recommended!
