The Summertime Retreat is a BOATERS DELIGHT! Just MINUTES to open water!
Summertime Retreat is in the highly sought after Southwest Cape Coral area within walking distance to nearby Cape Harbor Marina where you can enjoy great restaurants, shopping, entertainment and boat rentals! Cape Harbor has live music on Tuesday nights for added fun.
The Westin resort at Tarpon Point Marina which is about 3 miles down the road also offers plenty of waterfront restaurants and shopping with live music at the Naughti Mermaid..
And do not forget about Cape Coral downtown which has seen a surge of new restaurants and bars which offers a wide selection of excellent food choices and entertainment.
This home is so close to all the greatest BEACHES, we have our Cape Coral Yacht Club beach within 10 minutes, Ft. Myers, Sanibel and Captiva!
Sanibel is one of the top beaches in Florida for shelling, shelling and more shelling!
The home has GREAT SOUTHERN EXPOSURE that makes for AMAZING Sunrise views over the dock and lovely sunset views from the backyard. Relax with a drink on the dock or in the BEAUTIFUL POOL on the HUGE LANAI!! The spacious lanai boasts a large roman style heated salt water pool. PERFECT for all day pool time FAMILY FUN! There is also an outdoor serving area and the indoor kitchen has plenty of outdoor dinnerware for entertaining poolside! Lanai has a Barbeque grill with propane supplied free to our guests.
Summertime Retreat is a comfy FAMILY FRIENDLY waterfront home with a spacious open plan layout! The home has been completely remodeled with tasteful Florida beach decor. The layout is GREAT for family entertaining with the large open great room/game room (with board games) for family fun. There is a ping pong table in the garage that can be easily folded open for added family entertainment. The kitchen is open to the dining room with French doors leading to the lanai adjacent to an additional living/lounge area.. There are 3 bedrooms, all with KING beds for a comfortable private sleep for 6. The great room has a pull out sofa for 2 addt'l guests as well as a single ottoman sleeper for a total of 9. This is a split floor design with the master bedroom and master bath on one side of the home for privacy with it's own sliders to the HUGE LANAI! There is plenty of closet space and a walk in shower with double vanity. There are 2 bedrooms on the opposite end of the home with a guest bath/pool bath to share and both with large walk-in closets. The 3rd guest bedroom has 2 twins that can be put together to make a king and an AMAZING view of the canal.
There will be 3 TV'S in the home; one in the master/primary bedroom, one in the great room and one in the lounge/living room.
In addition to the amazing lanai area, just steps away, the dock boasts 4 Adirondack chairs for relaxing, tanning or just enjoying time while you watch for fish jumping or possibly spotting a manatee! You can fish right from the dock (there will be 2 Fishing poles supplied for guest use).
Launch Kayaks from the convenient step ladder down to the water.
For a day of bike riding fun, there are also 3 single seated bikes with helmets on the property free to use for guests since the home is so close to bike paths for easy riding.
For a family fun day at the beach there are also beach chairs, a beach umbrella, a beach cart and there is even a beach cooler in the garage so you need to BRING NOTHING!.
Everything you need to spend the day at the beach and have a great holiday vacation, it's all right here at the Summertime Retreat!!! We want you to Enjoy your stay..!!!!
Camelot Park is just a short walk down the street, where you can play tennis or pickle ball, plan a picnic, walk the dog and take the kids to the playground for a day of fun!
The local grocery store is just a bike ride away for grabbing any needed groceries.
You can't beat this neighborhood and it's convenience to shopping, restaurants and some of the best Gulf access canals in the Cape. Rent a boat and enjoy the waters!
(The dock is for use to tie up a rental boat but for safety reasons the boat lift is for owner use only)

Wonderful getaway

Our family really loved the week we stayed at the property over New Years 2024. It's a really cute place, very functional, larger than expected and really well stocked. Communication was easy and super responsive.

Perfect home

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. The house was meticulously clean, well appointed, updated, nicely decorated, and overall made us feel like this would have made a great second home. The location was great as it was near restaurants, parks, and two marinas. Our pups loved it too.

Beautiful home

We completely enjoyed this property. It was clean and comfortable, the lanai and pool lovely, furnishing were very acceptable and the house was a great location for our needs. We would certainly consider renting this property in the future!

Great home and great location!

We came with our 6yo daughter and 10 month old son! The house was just perfect! There is not much for kids to do in Cape Coral so having a home with the amenities was needed and this house checked all the boxes!

Away from the cold!

The owners of this home know what hospitality is all about! They take care of their renters and you become friends with them instantly! It is a very comfortable home, well decorated, and close to a lot of awesome restaurants! Everything about this place is just fun! You will not be disappointed if you rent from Cheryl and Kyle! We already have it booked for next year and we can not wait to get back to the delightful Summertime Retreat! Thanks for everything Cheryl and Kyle! We LOVE this place!

Excellent stay with excellent service

We were so pleased to be greeted by the property manager Cheryl who took the time to give us a detailed orientation to this lovely home. Cheryl was true to her word by responding to our requests in very short order. It was a delight to stay at this home, enjoy the lovely pool and provided amenities. We took great comfort in knowing that Cheryl was available to assist us with our every request. We are planning to returning next year.

Beautiful Home

We have been lucky to have been invited to spend a week at Summertime Retreat the past 2 years as guests of The Shober's. The home is absolutely beautiful and we hated to leave. I certainly understand why they have made this their " home away from home". The house is stocked with everything you would need , including the guest bedrooms. Way beyond our expectations

Cheryl, The home was amazing and very clean. You definitely do not need to bring any extra things because Cheryl thought of everything. Pool was awesome and peaceful. Neighborhood was very nice and close to food, shopping, beaches about 30 minutes away and a very easy drive. We have been all over Florida and hands down this was our favorite place. Cheryl you are an amazing host and we really enjoyed getting to meet you. Can't wait to come back for a much longer stay. Love Cape Coral Ron and Julie

Very Nice House

My nephew and his wife found this wonderful house for our stay in the area to attend some Tampa Bay Rays pre-season baseball games. It fit our needs perfectly. The owner is accessible and accommodating and a delight to deal with. This house is cheerfully decorated in a beach house motif, very inviting and completely outfitted. The entire premises is immaculately maintained and offers all the comforts of home. The screened patio is spacious with seating and dining for 8 or more. The sparkling pool is inviting and the overall eye-appeal is wonderful. We had a great time in this house.

Perfection!

Everything was perfect. From the time we walked through the front door, to the time we left. We have never stayed in a more thoughtfully appointed vacation home. It was impeccably clean as well. We spent a lot of time out in the pool. It was so nice to have a covered lanai to keep the bugs away. We rented a boat for the week and it was so fun to boat to different beaches and restaurants! Cheryl was an amazing host. So thoughtful and easy to communicate with. When she tells you to pack light, trust her. They have everything there! We would love to stay at this property again. It was truly paradise and we never wanted to leave! Thank you for sharing this beautiful property with us!

Absolutely PERFECT!

Our first time renting from Cheryl but won't be our last. In fact, planned a return visit before even leaving! Ever detail was tended to. The home was in excellent condition and very very clean. When Cheryl indicates "only bring your toothbrush", she isn't kidding. Fully stocked with everything you would need - lots of beach towels, toys, chairs, coolers. We did a day trip to Ft Myers beach, Sarasota (about 90 minutes but worth the drive), lots of golfing and just enjoying the quiet evenings at the house. We rented from Capt' Jack - a 3 hour boat trip departing from Pine Island that was wonderful. We used UBER for shorter trips in the area and they were prompt and courteous. I recommend this house without any reservation. Thank you for sharing your home Cheryl. We hope to see you again soon and wish you all the best.

Wonderful Home away from Home

We were lucky to have spent two wonderful weeks at this beautiful home. The owners were so great, we only met half of the couple, but she was fabulous!! She made sure we had everything! I had emailed the owner to find out about a health clinic for my daughter and within an hour received a reply plus a follow up email! So accomodating!!!! The house was beautifully decorated (I invited her to our house for her talents) and little extras made our home away from home even more enjoyable. She had soap, hand soap, beach accessories, and while you might think, no big deal....it was! We didn't have to spend extra time (or money) in the mall picking up beach chairs, beach bags, umbrellas, pool toys, they have thought of everything! The only negative thing I would have to say: this beautiful house isn't availalbe to us next year, no surprise it's booked! If you are lucky enough to rent this house, you will have no worries, everything you could think of is here and if you need anything, the owners would be there in a minute!!! Thanks to Cheryl and Kyle!!!

Absolutely Awesome

We had such a relaxing and wonderful stay. We wanted a place we could stay and not have to go out into pubic much because of the pandemic. With instacart and ubereats coupled with this house you can have an amazing holiday!!! They thought of everything, even down to a French press for morning coffee...you know if you don't like the Keurig or the regular brew option they have available too!! The beds were so comfortable. And there are a crazy amount of options for your pillows too. Its like they give you every option in the world so you can have a pleasant stay. There are tons of things for the beach and the pool (floats, coolers, umbrellas, chairs). Our dogs even had a great time and give it 2 paws up!! Definitely going to plan to stay again and you should plan to go too!!

Very Nice and Relaxing

I met up with a group of friends and this property was the perfect spot to hang out and relax. The neighborhood was really quiet and the pool was the perfect touch. Cheryl was also very helpful and responded right away. Would definitely recommend and will be back again.

Great vacation house!

We stayed at St. Somewhere for the last week of May 2021. The price was reasonable and the house had many amenities. Cheryl maintained good communication throughout our stay. The house was big and open. Lots of ceiling fans. A/C was cool and refreshing. The screened pool was fabulous. Nice big beach towels were there for our use. We ate breakfast out by the pool daily. I liked the large kitchen to make meals. The view of the canal behind the house was nice to look at too. Washer/dryer in the garage worked good. Plenty of beach necessities in the garage available to borrow for beach days. Security system, front door keypad lock system and garage door opener made me feel safe. Location is in a quiet canal neighborhood and not far from stores and beaches. I would recommend this rental to anyone looking for a quiet place to come back to after busy vacation days at the Gulf.
