Très bel endroit, logement propre et agréable, voisins très gentils
Nous avons séjourné une dizaine de jours dans l'appartement du haut. Le logement, climatisé, est composé d'une petite cuisine qui fait salle à manger, et de 2 grandes chambres (1 avec lit double et 1 avec 2 lits simples), avec SDB. Un petit jardin avec un coin terrasse permet de prendre les repas à l'extérieur. La cuisine est bien fournie vaisselle et ustensiles de cuisson. Un lave linge est disponible dans une remise au dos de la maison. Seul petit inconvénient, le frigo n'a pas de compartiment congélateur. C'était très propre quand nous sommes arrivés. L'accès à Ruota se fait par une route comportant quelques lacets. Le quartier est très calme, nous avons bien dormi. Le village est encore un peu plus haut, on peut très facilement y aller à pied (bar, épicerie). La promenade sur les hauteurs permet de profiter d'une belle vue sur la campagne toscane. Le voisinage est très agréable, en particulier la très charmante voisine Sabrina, qui a pris soin de nous quand nous avions besoin de quelque chose. Pour se rendre à Lucca, compter moins de 30 min, pour Pise et la côte, environ 45 min. Un magasin CONAD se situe juste à quelques km de Ruota et permet de faire les courses au retour de Lucca. C'était idéal avec 2 enfants et pour vadrouiller dans les alentours. Les propriétaires laissent les prospectus et plans des sites à visiter, ce qui est très pratique pour préparer les visites (Pise, Lucca, Florence, San Gimignano, villas de la région, etc...)
