Doves Rest Cabins - Santa Fe cabin on the North Rim

The Santa Fe is brand new to the cabin collection at Doves Rest providing the world’s only private overnight luxury accommodations to intrepid travelers, offering unique views of the Palo duro Canyon & an iconic symbol of the American Southwest for our guests to enjoy. Wildlife diversity & abundance around Doves Rest is excellent, including populations of blue quail, bobwhite, turkey, bobcat, mule deer, white-tail, Aoudad sheep, coyote, roadrunners, rabbits & numerous songbirds.

Santa Fe cabin at Doves Rest

Excellent location for visiting Palo Duro Canyon and Canyon, TX. Very quiet and relaxing with beautiful big sky vistas. Cabin and property were well managed and maintained. Great host - everything worked as advertised.

Cute perfect little hacienda-style cabin. We only stayed 1 night but had we know It would be such a nice property/area we would have stayed longer. Sad Monkey brewery/store/restaurant was great for only needing dinner 1 night. Would definitely recommend this cabin!

Relaxing Pradise

Leave your problems and the world at the gate and enjoy solitude and scenic wonder. Beautiful property with everything you might need in your cabin, just bring your food and drink of choice.

The cabin was just perfect for my husband, me and teenage daughter. We were attending a wedding in a nearby town and this added a little vacation feel. Went to the state park and saw the musical. Easy access and location. So cute and clean! Definitely will stay again if ever out that way.

Amazing!

This place was fantastic! How often could you comfortably have lodging by the edge of a canyon? And stargazing is to die for. Wished we could’ve stayed longer. It was a spur of the moment trip stop. We felt safe and at peace here. The home is well equipped, felt almost brand new, and the furniture are pretty comfortable.

Beautiful views of Palo Duro Canyon

The exterior landscaping and design that enhances the grandeur of the canyon and flats without intruding. Very comfortable outdoor seating and amenities to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings! The very well-appointed cabin is clean and comfortable with rustic decor that is a perfect transition from the rugged outdoors. TEN STARS!!!

Gorgeous View & Super close to State Park Entrance!

We enjoyed our stay at Santa Fe canyon rim cabin so much!! The sunrise over the canyon was beautiful! Loved the large window in living area/bedroom. King size bed was so comfy & sleeper couch was perfect for our son. Kitchen was fully stocked. We cooked breakfast every morning & appreciated the K-cups & Keurig machine with creamer & sugar. Also very close to the Palo Duro State Park entrance. Enjoyed hiking trails & exploring the canyon. Awesome place! Will be returning next year!! Thanks for being such fantastic hosts!

Celebrating My Husbands' Life

Started off my first couple days with my oldest granddaughter (25 yr old) hanging out with me. Then she had to fly back home & I was at the cabin solo. I was nervous about that but wound up thoroughly enjoying myself at the cabin & in the canyon. I felt completely secure there and enjoyed getting out to walk around the resort, watch the birds & wildlife & then woke 1 morning to a snowy blizzard. How exciting since I'm from Houston!! The sun rises were the 1st thing I got to feast my eyes upon every morning. It was disappointing to have to leave but I will return some day. But next time I will fly. WHEW!! What a drive! But oh, so worth it! My six night stay @ the SantaFe cabin was amazing :) Becky H 2/24-3/1/2024

Best Place: beautiful, serene, quiet

This is a delightful property. Not only is it very close to Palo Duro Canyon state park, but it is thoughtfully planned with an open air pavillion with great views, engaging metal art, and a nice playground for families. It is very well maintained, and the management is promptly attentive to any needs. It was truly a wonderful place to stay.

Palo Duro beauty

Loved this place! The view of the canyon was the best. The sofa bed was really nice for the kids. The mattress was thick with no springs. The kitchen had everything we needed for late breakfasts. The Sad Monkey just next day was great for grocery items and relaxing with a cold drink. We kept missing the food truck though. Palo Duro stables was also next door where we had a great time horseback riding. Perfect place to stay to experience Palo Duro Canyon.

Doves Rest Properties the Place to Stay in Palo Duro Canyon!

The Properties are amazing; the resort grounds are very nice; views are amazing; and convenient location to the state park and horseback riding and jeep tours of the canyon! Property owners are thoughtful and very helpful throughout the stay.

Awesome Discovery, can’t wait to go back!

We loved our stay at the Santa Fe and will definitely be back. Whether you want to relax and enjoy the scenery or explore Palo Duro Canyon State Park, or both, this is the place to do it. Loved watching the sunrise from the cabin, and I explored several of the trails at PDCSP. We also enjoyed the Panhandle Plains museum one morning when it was really cold, and there are several good restaurants in Canyon if you don’t feel like cooking, although the kitchen is well-equipped if you do. The cabin was spotless too. We look forward to a return visit.
