"I love the brand new building and all the hanging plants around the balcony was pretty. The kitchen had all ample utensils for cooking. The bathroom was beautifully put together. Not 1 bug got in the whole week I was there which for me made for a good nights sleep. There are 2 dogs next door that bark but its not too bad. Honestly I came to realize that I like those dogs barking some to keep bad people away even though the property is gated. I always bring ear puddy on my vacations anyway I find...

"Cabañas del Rio was a wonderful place to stay in La Fortuna. We stayed in the family unit with three queen beds and a kitchen. It worked out great for our family of 6. Wonderful garden trail to watch for birds and frogs in the morning. Felt at home here! Clean, comfortable beds, spacious. Thank you for a great stay! "

"This is a great apartment just a few short blocks from town. Our hosts arranged for taxi service to La Fortuna Waterfalls and EcoThermales spa. The apartment has lots of space and everything you need for a relaxing and fun vacation. We walked to a nice local supermarket and bought and prepared all of our meals at the apartment. However, there are many good restaurants within walking distance. We will stay there again. We highly recommend."

There is one small, delicious restaurant 400 meters away, but not walkable. LaFortuna is approximately an hour drive, must have a car if staying here. "This is such a hidden gem! It was a bit trickier to find with my shuttle bus but Gabriela was outstanding communicating to provide me with directions and reference points ahead. When I walked in, I was in awe. It was the perfect tiny home with luxury of daily necessities. Everything was immaculately clean, with many thoughtful touches to make it as comfortable as possible with strong wifi, tv, air conditioning, kitchen, crockpot, kettle, electric grill, microwave, fridge, laundry line, etc....

"The house had a beautiful jungle view and volcano view. The property also has a nice adventurous hike to a waterfall (where the owners provide mud shoes for convenience ) The long driveway would be a bit difficult without 4 wheel drive.but this was communicated to us well in advance."

"We had a great stay at los Arcos in downtown La Fortuna. The location was perfect for getting around on foot for meals and shopping as well as the main park/square. We rented scooters for further out adventures (La Fortuna Scooters- Valentina is amazing!!) which were easy to park at the apartment. Communication with host was fast and easy. "The apartment was clean and comfortable, the kitchen easily accommodated my dietary needs. It was particularly helpful having ice available, as I rolled my ankle the first day and needed to ice the swelling. The grocery stores were within walking distance, the town was nice to stroll thru and Rebecca was always available and helpful with my questions. I would recommend this apartment to anyone who would be staying in La Fortuna"
