"Although the furnishings may be outdated, and the castle is a good drive uphill on an Italian twisty-road… we were very happy with our stay here: it’s a castle room! We enjoyed it. Be prepared for bird song in the morning, and beautiful valley vistas. Bring your wine and snacks: there are no shops around! Breakfast was included and it was good. Parking is a bit downhill but on property. Add 15 minutes to your expected drive to all area attractions and you will be fine. Enjoy Giomici castle! "

"Unfortunately, we found serious inadequacies, for example: the lack of a key to lock the master bedroom on the ground floor (in the presence, moreover, of another couple of tourists walking past the door to go upstairs); the presence of numerous insects that traveled freely from the bed, to the walls, to the bedside tables; the toilet flush that took at least 20 to 30 minutes to refill; the kitchen equipment among cobwebs and small animals; the absolute absence of road signs indicating the site;...

"Pros: Location in the mountains is superb, very friendly& supportive staff, fair price Cons: Only very small windows in the appartment, thus dark and nearly no chance for fresh cold air in the night. Due to the size of the location the pool was overcrowded and too less sun chairs. Photos better than reality."
