đ FIELD SIZE YARD, Sandy Beach, Sunsets, PRIVATE Rd, 6 mi.to Sylvan Beach
Welcome to Sunset Shores which is a unique rental. It is a seasonal cottage that is cozy. While it can sleep 11, the ideal number is 8. It has had the bathroom completely remodeled in 2020 and a new dishwasher, new countertops, new kitchen sink & faucet, new bedroom door, and new 55â TV in the living room in 2021. It has window mounted AC units that keep the house comfortable. There are very few rentals that are not on top of one another with a sandy beach, HUGE YARD, gorgeous sunsets over the water, dock, huge yard (size of a soccer field) and located on a private road (very quiet and lots of privacy) and still be about 10 minutes from Turning Stone Casino, Point Place Casino, Sylvan Beach, the Boxing Hall of Fame in the Town of Canastota. Behind the house is wooded(which means there are bugs - we do spray for mosquitoes, spiders and ticks but being in a wooded area there are other nuisance bugs that may or may not be around). A four bedroom cottage with an eat-in kitchen and living room. The yard is large enough for lots of outdoor activities and the 300 feet of lawn runs down to a sandy beach and beautiful area for swimming for children of all ages. Approximately 50 feet of lake front (which may or may not have seaweed or some muck depending on the time of year - it is cleaned before arrival) with a sandy beach and 950 ft of shore to explore. The Dock sits in 2 to 2.5 ft of water. Lots of room to roam and plenty of parking. The sunsets over the water and can be seen from the outside or inside the house from the large picture windows or sliding glass doors. Large beach area with a fire pit for campfires as night. Weber gas and a Blackstone grill

A great house in a great location! Everything about the home was as advertised and exceeded our expectations. It was clean, comfortable and well taken care of. I would definitely stay here again.
We came to do a sail regatta close by...
Location for us was perfect.
Charming "Old School" type cottage upgraded with most of the modern amenities.
Definitely be back!
We had a WONDERFUL time at your cabin. The yard and lakefront view were fantastic. Every year we take our grandchildren on an adventure and this year we were lucky enough to find your house. The kids and dog were so happy being on the lake. Every day there was swimming, fishing and kayaking. Everyone was sun kissed and tired every night. Brian, you were very responsive and got right back to us when we had any questions. We were not far away from stores, bait shops, farmers markets or the amusement park and other beaches. Thank you so much! We hope everyone who goes here enjoys the lake, house and surrounding area as much as we did.
The location and yard were great! The house can use some serious updating/improvements. The goose poop in the yard is a big deterrent with our dog and made use of the large yard nearly impossible. The pier is in pretty shallow water and we were lucky enough that the toxic algae bloom was blown out of the cove they sit in. The dog hair in the house and back deck from the previous renter was overwhelming and the exterior furniture could use a power wash. The owners were very nice and their mother in law lives next door. The people that live on the street were kinda friendly, they seem to watch everything we did. Didn't use the fire pit, but it was clean and useable. The house was warm, but the kitchen was hot with window A/C units in the bedrooms and small portable AC in the living room, but its on the lake and we were outside most of the time anyway. Overall it was a great week with family and great weather. I should get my 100 dog deposit back with all the dog hair we had to put up with! Stuffy noses all week cuz if it!
Classic lake cabin with cozy hominess from years past. Loved the lawn games with family, the sandy beach, and singing songs around the camp fire.

Property was exactly as advertised.
First thing we noticed upon arrival was, the cottage was spotless!
The yard was perfectly manicured, private and HUGE! Old growth trees provided shade when necessary.
The amenities were all in good working order and all of the houseware items were provided.
The owner was available, professional and ready to offer assistance/advise whenever I called him.
We are already planning on returning next year.
The house was very comfortable with an amazing view of the lake. The yard was indeed a football field and much appreciated by our dogs. Loved the fire pit and being able to sit on the beach and of course enjoy those sunsets. That never got old. Weather was a little too chilly to go into the water but my husband did kayak a few times. The weather was great except for our last full day where this crazy storm blew through. Even then the lake was amazing with white caps.

nice family vacation
Overall, it was a great family vacation. Not fancy by any means but nice. The dock was a huge disappointment as we booked this place for the ease of a dock. The water is so shallow itâs scary to try to bring the boat in. You definitely canât use your motor, just the trolling motor. They said they had a lift but there was no boat lift when we arrived. The dock needs some updating to feel safe docking there. They did have a slip at a nearby dock but that didnât help with ease of just jumping on the boat in front of the cottage for evening rides. They didnât have the basic kitchen stuff so plan on bringing everything down to salt (the container was empty) which is expected. They did have silverware, cups and some pans. Owner was very nice. BRING BUG SPRAY!!! The large yard was nice for the kids to play and ride power wheels. Lawn was so long and not cut until two days before we left, same with the beach being raked. If you have kids you have to visit the wild Animal park down the road, it was beautiful and fun. The washer and dryer were so nice to have! I think a little TLC would go a long way here but again this is just a cottage. Again, overall a great vacation with the family and Brian, the owner, really was a nice guy.
The listing for this place is so inaccurate I donât even know where to start. The place is filthy. The owner was cleaning the beach when we arrived as so much sludge washes up on the âsandy beachâ you cannot even access the water from shore. The dock was ok, we moored our boat and my husband got a gigantic sliver through his shoe into his foot from the dried out wood. The lawn was not mowed. The fire pit was usable with wood thrown in a heap next to it. No chairs for sitting around. The green kayak had a leak and was unusable. The canoe & red kayak offered fun, once brought out on the dock to enter. The grill was so rusty we had to scrub and season it before we could use just half of it. There is a tire swing hanging from a dead Ash tree that we were informed by a tree service should not be used due to the danger of it falling down and someone getting hurt. water balloon pieces and bottle caps around the lawn. Along with a pile of sticks with garbage. The patio sets are moldy and rusty by the grill and the other is so dirty. Food in the cushions of the couch & underneath. There were so many dead bugs in the window sills it makes your stomach turn. There was a frayed wire on the light over the table, could be a hazard. The outlet are so old your chargers donât stay in. The baseboard next to the shower was moldy and coming off the wall. There is the very bare minimum items in the kitchen , no measuring spoons or cups, the utensils are sparse. The owner is unprofessional.
We had a great week at the cottage! The yard is huge with equal parts sun and shade, allowing you to beat the heat. The dock and beach were beautiful. The cottage itself was very nice and has beautiful views of the lake and sunset. My daughter couldn't get enough of the tire swing. Brian was great to work with and quickly responded to text messages. Highly recommend this property!
Was a beautiful cabin for a family vacation! Brian was very helpful and a pleasure to deal with! The yard is very large and has plenty of room for the family pets. Will be booking the cabin again for next year! You will not be disappointed with your stay!
It's been a long time since we had a well needed family vacation. Lots of room outside. Brian was a huge help when we had some issues like locking our keys in the car, he came to help and found someone local to help when we coukd do it on our own. Lots of sleeping space, quiet area and great sunsets.
Great sunsets, wonderful location,,,despite Mother NatureâŚ
This location was great! The extensive lawn was nice as we were able to take our dogs too! The cottage was very clean and comfortable ,well equipped and the ac was a much welcome touch for the hot days we were there! Although we had to deal with the smelly phase of mayflies , fish were caught and thankfully got to swim at nearby Verona Beach state park! We are certainly going to try again hopefully without mayflies! Thank you Brian and Meg!
The views/sunsets were spectacular. The host was very accommodating and easy to get a hold of if we needed anything. The whole environment was very peaceful and quiet and just what we needed. We enjoyed our stay and made some fun memories here!
Perfect vacation spot if youâre looking to spend quality time with your family or friends on beautiful Oneida Lake. This property has a huge yard for children to play all day without getting bored! There is a private little beach with shallow water that is perfect for little ones to swim while you sunbathe on the shore. Kayaks and canoe provided are a great way to explore the shoreline. Like most spots on this lake I would recommend water shoes for a sometimes rocky bottom. The house was immaculate upon arrival and provides a cozy atmosphere reminiscent of my own childhood family vacations on the lake. The dining table is in front of a huge window that gives you an amazing view while drinking your morning coffee or eating dinner with your loved ones. The owners were super nice and quick to help with any questions. Definitely booking this property again next summer!
We had a great time on our trip! The yard is huge and there is a little beach area which was great for the kids to play on. It didnât look like any other cottages near by had the beach so that was a big plus! The water was very calm and peaceful.
The cottage was perfect for nine adults. Right on Oneida Lake even came with a dock and a slip! Large backyard to throw football, baseball and yard games! A fire pit right near the dock and beach. It really had everything that you needed. Only went into town one day because of COVID and we are very cautious. Went to new casino no/restaurant called The Lake House highly recommend it.
Our family had a blast. The rental was much bigger and better than the photos had let on. Lake front swimming was perfect for the kids and the shallow water was clean and warm. Home is in great shape and updated. The boat and dock were a great addition as well. Although docki g proved difficult due to shallow water and open wind, the marina is less than a 10 min boat ride away and provides a safe spot to dock in rough weather. Thanms so much and we will be back!
The pictures online do not fully do this justice. It was better than it looked. The yard, beach, and lake were fantastic. The house was well-equipped with the essentials needed. The owner was easily accessible and responded quickly to any questions. I highly recommend.
Our family of 9 had the most relaxing and enjoyable vacation at Brian's camp. The house was homey and cozy and the decor was lovely. Great showers-inside and out- with lots of hot water. The kitchen was well stocked (including a blender!) The yard was huge and we were on the lake all day. It was a dream vacation.
This house is located in a beautiful and quiet location. Even the lake was extremely quiet almost every day. The major highlights for my family: queen bed in "green room" is extremely comfortable, outdoor shower and hose were awesome, flat lawn for games and playing, use of the kayaks, and of course, the AMAZING sunsets. The owner is extremely helpful and friendly.
The owner is a great guy. Hands on person who made sure our stay was great. Sunsets every night, fishing right on the lake, with room for all involved. Neighbors are really friendly too. The yard is huge with nice big shade trees. Great to sit outside and relax. Off the beaten path and very quiet.
