Excellent location and clean!

We wanted a getaway before Christmas and the Barn Owl was just what the doctor ordered. Very pleased with this place and we will definitely be coming back.

We enjoyed our time here! Beautiful setting! The barn/cabin felt very clean and beautifully designed and decorated accommodations. We appreciated the welcome note and snacks that were there when we arrived. Great communication about our reservations and we were checked on during our stay to make sure we had everything that we needed. We definitely would stay here again and highly recommend.

My husband and I came down from Wisconsin for a week of bourbon and relaxing, the last leg was at this beautiful cabin to fully relax before heading back to reality and it was beyond perfect! The barn was even better than pictured, the property was a little slice of homestead heaven, and the host was so communicative and helpful. Can’t wait to come back

The Barn Owl is absolutely beautiful. Location is so peaceful and relaxing. Lauren the host is so sweet. She really has thought of everything (decor/amenities)...you couldn't ask for anything more. Great hospitality!!! The dogs were an added bonus on our visit...they were the sweetest visitors 🐾 The spa shower was amazing. Highly recommend.😊

This was our favorite stay on this trip by far! They were so kind and accommodating. We enjoyed this very clean and quiet country setting including a nice clean hot tub and fire pit and yard games. We enjoyed the farm animals and the peacocks stopping by to say hello as well. Definitely would recommend staying here

Barn Owl

My husband & I did a quick getaway to Red River Gorge to celebrate our anniversary. After a day of hiking the Barn Owl was the perfect place to relax. It was even better than the pictures! We loved the hot tub but especially loved all the animals on the property. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful stay

Pictures do not do your place justice! We really enjoyed our stay. Bed was cozy, plush bathroom towels, shower and hot tub was amazing. We also loved our farm fresh eggs and honey. Overall a great barn! Very unique in what they have done with this place. Our favorites were the hot tub in the breezeway, best we have experienced! The shower is awesome and the bed was very comfortable. Be sure to visit the farm animals just up the hill. They are very friendly and the pack of dogs as well! The host was helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. Thanks so much, we will be sure to spread the word with our fellow Gorge visitors!

Wow!! This property is stunning and we felt welcomed from the start!

This property is absolutely gorgeous! The hosts were amazing and was so welcoming and made us feel right at home! So many extras are available to use they literally thought of everything. The recreation part of the barn was so unique and fun, our family loved the hot tub, hammock, and the Ale 8 stocked fridge! The bathroom felt like a spa experience! Amazingly soft towels and a multi shower head shower that left the entire family saying wow! Walking the property was fun and we loved seeing the farm animals. The location is close to Red River Gorge so we had tons of trails and experiences close by but we had the privacy of the location that wasn’t busy at all. We would stay here again for sure! Thanks to Lauren and family for a wonderful vacation experience!

What we wanted/needed

GREAT place! We had only booked 2 nights with the thought that 1) we'd be able to get an early start for a full day of hiking, 2) the hot tub was going to work out all of our body aches at the end of the day. Sadly, we had to bypass the hiking, but spending 40 hours (minus meal runs) ensconced in a place like this was a fantastic plan B (next time I'll bring popcorn for the air popper)! We had amazing fall foliage out the bedroom windows in the morning, and a beautiful moon filtering through the trees at night. If you need complete darkness to sleep, bring a mask as there are no curtains on the windows (as of yet). Not an issue for us, but it could be for some? We would love to come back!
