Built by his grandfather and lovingly restored recently, Villa Carlucci met all of the needs of our American family while we visited our Abruzzese family. The many bedrooms and baths accommodated our children and grandchildren perfectly. The pool and grounds were an added bonus. "Perfect pick for us, convenient, clean, safe, helpful staff. Helped get a taxi to get to Salerno train station. Breakfast included. Beautiful view of river running thru Campagna. Campagna has historical sites which housed Jews during war, but the Italians were kind to the prisoners, which caused some their lives. US bombed Campagna causing deaths to Jews and citizens, but my family realizes it was a stratigic strike. Catacombs under church dating way back. Great Catina there, also pizzaria "
