The hallway light is on a sensor and timer with no way to switch on or off manually. This could be / was problematic if anyone wants to sleep with the door open but is also light sensitive. "We had a lovely family weekend in Forestside House. It was very clean and well located. It sleeps 16 but the dining and seating accommodation does not cater for 16. We were 10 and could eat together but not sit and relax together. The dining table and a couple of chairs were not very stable. One of the oven doors was broken and a couple of cooker rings were not working. This made cooking for a large number challenging. We are unlikely to stay here again."

"The property was disappointing and not worth the money that we spent. The kitchen needs some attention and there was a bare minimum of cutlery and kitchen equipment. It also needed a deep clean. The upstairs bedroom were also very basic, tired and not welcoming."

"The Corrie Hotel really was our home away from home during our 3-day stay on the Isle of Arran. A short drive on a good road from the Brodick ferry terminal, we found the Corrie Hotel to be a convenient base for our island explorations. The warm atmosphere in the pub and common areas was very welcome after a long day. One of the best features of the hotel is the friendly and helpful staff. Another is the included breakfast in the dining room which is very convenient given the distance from other breakfast options in Brodick. "
