Daily excursions on foot or bicycle can be organised in the mountains and by the sea. Places within easy reach are Forte dei Marmi (15 kms away) offering great walks along the sea shore and shopping trips in the village. Pietrasanta (12 kms away), cultural and art centre with many sculptors visiting from all over the world. Lucca (25 kms away) beautiful medieval city surrounded by its ancient walls.
