"The location is on the edge of a quiet village and with only subtle sounds of frogs from the pond and whinnies from the horse it was bliss. This was our 2nd stay and would love to come back again. Transport is required to access local shops but the ride out is so lovely it isnt a worry. We stayed for the 80th anniversary of D-Day and found it a good base to stay for the events. "A friend and I have just spent a long weekend at Le Batison. The property is situated in a nice village, is clean and well equipped and provides for a very comfortable stay. A short drive ( c 2 miles ) takes you into Brionne where you will find the usual shops including a Carrefour supermarket. We travelled to Normandy for a cycling break and found the neighboring countryside very enjoyable cycling territory."

"Nous avons passé une semaine magnifique dans cette agréable chaumière, Les échanges avant notre séjour avec Guillaume, le propriétaire, furent agréables, L’accueil et la réactivité de François, le responsable de la maison fut impeccable. Les enfants ont adoré jouer dans le spacieux jardin et se réchauffer au coin de le cheminée, Nous espérons avoir l occasion d y retourner prochainement."

"After not thinking we would be able to holiday due to Covid this was the perfect relaxing retreat. Everything was as we had expected. The log cabin was well equipped and comfortable. The gifts on arrival ( goats cheese , apple juice, jam and cider ) were all lovely and a nice touch. Roaming chickens and cats were an added delight with some eggs given to us in the week. Perfect break."

"As this was a budget hotel we expected the facilities to be lacking. However we did expect cleanliness, we found what looked lie pubic hairs in the shower and next to the sink and the toilet had not been cleaned properly there were Brown marks left by someone’s recent trip to the loo. Ok for a nights stay if you’re driving through or just need to crash for the night. Mc Donald’s in walking distance if you need a warm drink in the morning. "

Good overnight stop

"Comfortable bed and good shower which was what is needed as a stop over on a long drive south. Room 42 was around the back and quiet. Location was very convenient for the motorway although not much else around. The hotel did have a restaurant which only served pizzas (very tasty) although we did notice a pzza delivering to one of the other rooms on our way back to the room. Nice touch having tea/coffee facilites in the room. Free secure parking."
