"What a great host and the setting was absolutely heavenly. We came so my wife and daughters experience Pico as it was the home of my Avo and Ava who where from Lages do Pico and they get to know there heritage. We will return again for a much longer stay and the people of the Pico are warm and friendly will to assist. De andere deur gaat naar keuken, 2de slaapkamer met badkamer ensuite. Dit maakt deze accommodatie ook leuk. Het terras en de tuin is echt geweldig. "The house was beautiful and well furnished. Adelina was a wonderful host who provided us with fresh fruit and eggs during our stay. She also helped us locate a rental car and a local health clinic when we needed them. I would strongly recommend Cais do Pico to anyone staying in the area."

"The house was comfortable. The gentleman living in the adjacent home was very gracious, helpful and welcoming. The house is as listed. It is a short walk to the ocean. The view of the volcano, Pico, is magnificent. The house is about 15 minutes driving from the airport, 15-20 minutes from a supermarket, and 20-25 minutes from the ferry in Magdalena. "Casa Santana is relatively recently renovated traditional stone house with beautiful views out over the sea and the island of Sao Jorge and easy access to some lovely walks including one along the coast. We really enjoyed sitting on the covered terrace listening to and watching the birds, lizards and bats and watching sunsets. The acommadation is good with a pleasant lounge, and a basic but satisfactory kitchen. The downstairs bedroom is a bit dark unless you open the door, and would benefit...

"The house location was good, the village and the natural pool very nice. *****BUT****** the house was not at all the one described. Only 2 rooms instead of 3 announced ! The third room behind the house was closed and, when we found the key, what a surprise ! A very bad surprise ! It seems to be abandoned for several years. All inside was so wet, moldy and dirty. There were old and used sheets on the bed.... it was awfull ! The ground floor front bedroom's shower was dirty, we had to wash it to...

"Loved the house,loved the location. Miguel was quick to address any questions we had. My only criticism is that there was no comfortable place to sit. We encountered terrible downpours and were confined to the house for an afternoon. There was no sofa or even a comfortable chair to sit and read a book. However, saying that, I would not dissuade you from staying in this lovely home."

"Isa was so amazing with communication and helping me set up any needs that I had for my trip. There was a welcome basket with bread and cheese and tea and coffee and water which was so much appreciated. A beautiful setting on their banana farm and close to an amazing restaurant and nice hiking. I love that the property has a bathtub for after a long day of hiking. Küche sehr gut ausgestattet. Waschmaschine und Trockner vorhanden. Lage sehr gut zum Baden im Meer im Naturschwimmbecken im kleinen Hafen, fußläufig in 3min erreichbar. "We had a very peaceful and enjoyable stay, using the house as a base to climb Mt Pico, enjoy a whale watch and a wine tour. The host was very helpful with advice and helped arrange the wine tour and driver. The view out the back is beyond gorgeous and it’s a perfect deck to eat all your meals."
