'Casa do Gabriel' spacious Madeirian villa with private garden and ocean view

Casa do Gabriel is situated in a calm rural village area in the hamlet of Estreito da Calheta on the south-west coast of the beautiful sub-tropical island of Madeira.

The house is located within a 40 minute drive from the airport and is in a quiet, private and secluded location with spectacular panoramic south-westerly views over the Atlantic Ocean with the beautiful mountains behind.

The house has one level and includes two double bedrooms, two bathrooms (one has the bath tub and the second is equipped with shower stall), living room, dining area and kitchen. The kitchen is bright, roomy and well-equipped with all the necessary appliances for cooking. There is a separate laundry room with washer, freezer, sink, iron and ironing board.

For your comfort the property is equipped with all the usual features, such as bed linen and towels, free Wi-Fi, TV (135 channels in English, Portuguese, Spanish and French), washing machine, dishwasher, sun-loungers, etc.

There is an upstairs terrace with the floating bed (swing) and an amazing view of the ocean.

A patio around the house overlooks a private garden with walking paths. In the garden you will find avocado tree, orange tree, and guava along with numerous exotic flowers and shrubs. Fruits are available for our guests in season. A lower private patio in the garden is surrounded with flowering shrubs and bushes depending on the season with a view of the blue ocean.
The house overlooks a deep gorge with a variety of birds flying around, including buzzards and kites. Binocular available to do some bird-watching.

The only sandy beach on the island is in Calheta and it is 5 minute drive from the house as well as the supermarket Pingo Doce, ATM, marina with lots of restaurants. Dolphin and whale watching and deep sea fishing excursions are available from there. The levadas (irrigation channels), mountain walks of Rabaçal and Prazeres are all only a short drive away.

The house is registered with and licensed by the local Calheta Municipality for local accommodation use (AL–Alojamento Local No. 20657/AL).

Normally sleeping four persons in two double bedrooms. The fifth person could sleep in the hide-a-bed in the living room if required.
