"If you are looking for something extremely quiet and out in the countryside, this is the place for you! The only thing you hear is the roosters in the morning. Very charming and cozy. Our room and bathroom was very spacious with lots of room to get comfortable (2 travelers with luggage). I'll call her the host, was absolutely the greatest, very friendly and excited to have guests there, it is literally a farmhouse on a vineyard, not a typical hotel with hotel like features. Breakfast was good and she did her best to accommodate our requests/needs. We did sit out by the pool for a bit in the morning and it was comfortable (warm sun and cold water that day). We did not get a chance to experience the winery part of the experience but it looked like it would be awesome if you are into that. It is about 25 min drive outside the city center and food options nearby were a little sparse, but we highly recommend Variações, which was not quite a 10 min drive. "

"This is an excellent property in a beautiful setting. As well as the pool, the house is surrounded by a wonderful garden with orchard, vines, and shaded spots. The very welcoming owner lives next door and went out of his way to make our stay comfortable and interesting - he gave us his own wine, vegetables from the garden and arranged for the local baker to deliver every day. The house was spotless and very well provided with bedrooms and bathrooms. Fast wifi in the house. Cooking facilities are simple, but there's a built-in barbecue outside and we mostly used that for cooking. The nearby national park is glorious and we went for a guided family hike which even the youngest of our group (almost 4 years old) managed. There are lots of other activities to try there and the children enjoyed the Geres water park. We'd recommend the Vaticano restaurant in the village, as well as the simple pizza restaurant (which also delivers). We had a great holiday at Casa Roupar!"

"We had a lovely time at casa lumi, such a stunning and unspoiled area of Portugal. Our family enjoyed hikes to amazing waterfalls, swims in the river homem, stand up paddle boarding, kayaking and visits to Braga and Guimares. The house itself is perfect for 8 people, spacious and well equipped with a beautiful garden area/pool with gorgeous views. Diane was very helpful and responsive to any queries. The local pizza restaurant and O Vaticano were great. Highly recommended to anyone wanting to escape the crowds and holiday in beautiful nature!"
