New Museum Guest House Pyramids View

10/10 Excellent

"This is a small hotel that overlooks the pyramids. The hotel is literally right across the street from the New Museum so you can walk there if you want. Each morning I opened the curtains and could see the pyramids and they were breathtaking. Even though it was on a busy street you could barely hear the traffic outside. The beds were comfortable, and the food was delicious. We had breakfast on the rooftop and had a whole table full of delicious Egyptian food. The rooftop bar overlooking the pyramids was comfortable. The staff went out of their way to be helpful with a smile made the whole trip. The only thing I felt a little leery about the hotel is at the end of an alleyway but once you’re inside, it’s beautiful. Marble floors, an elevator to take you to each floor and very cold air-conditioning which in June is perfect. I would come back and stay here again."

"Beautiful clean hotel, very helpful and pleasant staff. Unsecured car parking was available in front of the hotel (very rare in Cairo). The roof where breakfast is served has excellent views of the pyramids. The hotel is convenient for the pyramids and the new Cairo museum, but far from the city centre."

"Great hotel with great service located centrally. Very noisy as most of the hotels are. Constant car honking and music playing but it is out of the hotels control thats just Egypt. The hotel itself is very nice although some attention could be shown to repair especially the windows that dont close fully or are not sealed properly letting dust and sand in all the time. The restaurant here is wonderful, the service is great, and overall a good stay but the beds were hard as a rock so if your a light sleeper maybe seek elsewhere but I would recommend overall if your able."

"The stuff was amazing, the Concierge lady Caroline make sure that all my questions were answered and she did some reservations of the property that were very useful, the rooms were clean and has everything I needed, the property was clean and very close to the pyramid which was useful because we went to the pyramid and to the new grand museum which was an experience of its own, we would definitely stay there again we loved it, we felt safe and well taking care of, it was our first time landing in Egypt so we didn’t know what to expect but this Hotel made our State feel like home."

"1. This property listing is a bit deceiving because you see a swimming pool in the picture, but in fact it's not clean and not available for swimming. Instead they provide a pool at some nearby hotel where you need to walk. We did not bother to use it if it is not right at the hotel property. 2. Breakfast was very poor on average. Fresh omelette was good, served tables two out of three times did not look fresh. Salads were dark or unfresh, fruits green and unripe. Everything was kind of checked and provided, but leaving us with an impression of not appetizing and nothing to eat. Many dishes stayed wrapped in plastic and none opened because food didn't look appetizing. 4. Internet worked poorly, we ended up using our cellphone data all the time. 5. Our window was facing window of another room ( we booked a "pool view") so by no means ever we were able to open a curtains in the room. This hotel is not walking distance from the pyramids"
