"Phenomenal Location"

"We stayed at the Montecito Inn because it was close to the Music Academy of the West. Our room and bathroom were quite small, so small that I felt guilty leaving my husband there while I attended a workshop. The bathroom mirror was the smallest we have ever seen; so was the bar of soap, which was no more than .75” x 2”. The old-fashioned elevator was an irritation: you have to open a door and a metal gate in order to walk in. In the old days, there would’ve been an elevator attendant, but there was no such person at the inn. Montecito Inn imposes a $47 fee for “amenities,“ but that’s really a parking fee. They provide hot water and coffee in the lobby at all hours, but that’s necessary only because there is no coffee maker in the room."

"Absolutely not worth the price. Property is old and not very clean. Door has a gap, bugs come in, you can hear everything outside, no sense of peace and quiet. Rooms don’t even have slippers, bed was so uncomfortable you can feel the springs. Bring your own shampoo and body wash cause their products are so bad , our skin was so dry and irritated. Just bad. Go stay somewhere else."

"Staff was fantastic. Location is fantastic. Only 4 stars because the products in the bathroom hadn’t been refilled … one tissue left in the box, 95 percent of body wash was empty, etc. Lovely stay regardless"
