Not a good place for a vacation, but it's a nice city for my family to live. It's close to Little Rock and the North Arkansas mountains and you could drive to Hot Springs for the day.

Good
Plenty of variety of places to eat. Road construction on the main road makes for longer driving to these places. We stayed in Room 111 and definitely heard the train horn several times. It's a convenient location and easy to get to.

Excellent
Cabot is a nice small town. We recommend Brew YaYa, a local coffee shop a few miles away for coffee, breakfast, and lunch.
"The lady that checked me in was so friendly and welcoming. She had a great smile and a great attitude. The hotel was clean and inviting. We enjoyed the pool and the breakfast. I would definitely stay there again and recommend the hotel to anyone traveling in the area."
"This was our 2nd stay here in 2 years. The hotel was clean and convenient. Room was large and spacious. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Location felt safe. We walked to dinner 2 nights. Coffee bar with pastries was nice. We would definitely stay here again if we find ourselves in Little Rock again. "
"The couch was comfortable enough to sleep on but it also pulled out into a bed. The bed in the bedroom was a very comfortable king and great pillows (5). Two TVs allowed kids to watch quietly while we slept in the bedroom. The kitchen was fully furnished with a knife to cut a watermelon, plenty of eating utensils, pans, plates, bowls, etc and had a dishwasher. Bar stools were comfortable as well. Very competitively priced room. Rebooked and same experience the next night. Was able to watch our YouTube account on the TV. It didn't have a swimming pool which was okay by us but may not be for other families. The shower worked IF you pulled down on the faucet head underneath the faucet. We didn't know that our first visit and the tub was too small for larger people in the 250lb plus range. Thankfully we had large cups 😉"

"Everything was very clean, beds were comfortable, living area was very nice for hanging out, quiet neighborhood. We also enjoyed the outside seating area in the front. We did contact the owner because the city decided to repair a water main in the area and the water was cut off for 1/2 of one day. She even offered to bring us some water."
