"We arrived late, having been let down by a previous booking. The staff were all so welcoming and helpful. They promptly got us to our rooms accommodating my elderly father beautifully. The rooms are lovely, newly updated and gorgeously designed. The drinks were delicious, breakfast stunning and the team led by Shay were warm, incredibly helpful and just a delight to chat to. "

"Lovely views and a comfortable stay. Room was very big and the shower was excellent. The fridge wasn’t working but was replaced straight away. Breakfast was great with a good choice of hot and cold food in the restaurant that had beautiful views of the harbour. Great location for exploring The Island. Staff very helpful.Swimming pool was great too although a bit on the warm side. However a good size. Bar area was really good too. "

"As is often the case with 3-star hotels, I expected the public areas to be freshly renovated and the rooms to feel dated. However, to my pleasant surprise, our family room (253) was simple but nicely refurbished. A few minor downsides: the room was very hot on arrival, though a free-standing A/C had been set up. After mentioning this to reception, they promptly brought a Dyson Cool fan, which worked very well. The bathroom sink was slow to drain, which was a bit inconvenient. The wife in the room was very slow, only one device can connect at a time. The swimming pool and spa facilities aren’t particularly modern, but everything was clean and well maintained, which made for an enjoyable experience. The gardens—both natural and formal—were lovely to stroll through and clearly well cared for. We had dinner at the bar; the menu was limited and on the pricey side for what you get, though I feel this is very common in many places. A thoughtful touch was the eco-bag with used coffee grounds provided for guests to use as garden fertiliser—such a lovely, sustainable idea. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and we’d happily return in the future. Many thanks to the team! "
