"This property is beautiful, especially in springtime when all the marsh/river critters are active! Binoculars provided (a wonderful touch), prepare to birdwatch. There is one neighbor with a hot tub you can almost see from the backyard, otherwise it is very secluded and private. Did not bother us one bit. Very clean and all the comforts of home provided, the perfect place to get away and enjoy nature. Download the Merlin bird app, you won't be disappointed!! Thanks for a wonderful stay!"

The house is a bit older and shows wear of a well-loved home that occurs from lots of use and some stress from elements of the weather. We were told that we would be sharing the water toys however I wasn't expecting to share the small front yard with the house that sits behind this cottage. The front yard is super small and it was awkward with having strangers literally sitting next to you. Not much privacy."

"We had three generations together in the house- 6 adults and 4 children. There was more than enough space for every to sleep and plenty of seating areas as well. The yard was huge and we enjoyed many yard games while we were there. The beach was fabulous. Neighbor were friendly and quiet at night. Loved the historical decor and enjoyed reading the history of the house."

"This hotel was very clean. The staff was nice and welcoming. The check in/out process was easy and fast. The continental breakfast was one of the best I've had, and they had complimentary coffee, tea, and cookies throughout the day near the front desk. I did not have time to check out the pool area. The beds were comfortable, and we had a mini fridge and microwave in the room. It is a short ride to downtown Grand Rapids, so a good location for our trip. Would definitely stay here again!"
