"Very spacious, staff are friendly, plenty of seats at the pools. Not much of selection for vegetarians when it comes to food."

"This is a noisy area, including aqua aerobics around the pool every day and music in the front and back of the hotel. So if you want to be in that sort of area, it's great. Room was soundproof but there was no air conditioning. We were led to believe access to the spa was included but it was an extra 17 euros per entry. Hotel was clean, breakfast was good and beds were very comfortable. Bathroom was great and generally we had a good time. "

"Barceló team members were outstanding and provided great service. Breakfast and dinner buffets consistently showed a very good quality. Room air conditioner only able to keep the room at about 75 degrees F (24 C) and bathroom/ room ventilation didn’t work very well at all, but balcony was outstanding and was able to sleep cool enough with balcony slider open all night once the sun went down."

"Really enjoyed the stay with great food and service. The main part was the proximity to beautiful beaches and easy access to local services to visit other top attractions. Hotel services like swimming pool, bar etc was excellent as well as hospitality shown by every member. "

"A lovely resort but if you did want to eat in the non-buffet restaurants in the evening it is challenging to book! However there are some really lovely local restaurants serving delicious food in the town - just a short walk away. It is surprising that a 5 star resort doesn’t offer complimentary water for guests in the room. Or offer water fountains around the resort to ensure that guests stay hydrated. However the resort is lovely. "

"We are a couple both aged 23 - absolutely loved Colon Guanahani. The hotel is for the relaxers, we were one of few younger couples mostly older ladies and gents. Beautiful, beautiful hotel unique in its modern but homely natural style. Area was beautiful so much nicer than places we walked to, we were so happy we chose this hotel over others we seen that we had considered when booking.
