This charming German town was virtually untouched by WW II destruction. The only reported damage was the town bridge seen here. It was blown up in a small section by the German Army when they retreated from the invading western forces.
This view is from the Heidenberg Castle overlooking the Marketplace. The town has keep its old world charm with many restaurants and tourism type spots.

"The staff were extremely nice and wonderful, the room was nothing like the picture, the bathroom had mold not the greatest. Breakfast I paid when I got there and it was very limited also paid for dinner and all they had were hamburgers fries and other little things. Definitely eat out if you stay there. If it were not for the staff being so nice I would have probably given them a one star. Way over priced so sorry I used my points on this. "

"Having booked this hotel with very low expectations I was blown away by its facilities and 5* restaurant. The staff were fantastic, rooms exceptionally clean and restaurant was the best in the area. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again or recommend. The hotel Kunz offers exceptional value for money and easy parking which is always welcome especially as i was in a large van."
