"Good value for a stay in the mountains! The staff is very friendly. Even though only 2 out of 3 nights were booked in a Classic room, they upgraded us to a Superior room - which unfortunately is still a bit small. However, the view of the mountains, and fantastic breakfast (beautiful restaurant in separate building up the hill) makes up for it! We wanted to have dinner there, but restaurant was unfortunately closed for dinner over the weekend. On last night, a big bus load of teenage students checked-in that was very noisy until about midnight. But I more so blame it on the teachers/supervisors who should have been better at controlling the kids. Oh well ..."

"I actually booked this hotel by mistake thinking it was closer to La Spezia. What a great mistake! We immediately fell in love with it and actually changed the next part of our trip in order to spend another night here. It is definitely off the beaten path, but that is what we liked about it. It’s in a charming little village and the building and rooms were great. They were so accommodating. I would ABSOLUTELY stay here again. Thank you to the woman who worked reception when we arrived and for the very nice gentleman who worked the overnight shift, you all were great!"

"This beautiful palazzo in a small remote medieval town nestled in the hills, but also close to the coast was the perfect location for our group of 20 people. The accommodation was very clean and spacious, with multiple kitchens and large living areas, perfect for group get togethers. The garden and pool area were lovely. A local bar was nearby for meals, morning coffees and pastries, with shopping about 20 minutes drive to Aulla. The communication with Mirella prior to our arrival and during our stay was excellent, and Francesco was very friendly and helpful with information and tips on where to visit during our stay. These included trails and restaurants, as well as some very interesting towns. One of the local restaurants provided an unforgettable location and a banquet meal that many in our party ranked as one of the finest they have ever had. We were also able to easily visit Pisa, Lucca and Cinque Terra during our stay. Everyone enjoyed this amazing location. It was an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended."

"My spouse and I held our wedding here and it was beyond perfect. We are from the states and had a group of 20 join us for the weekend of our wedding. The villa was more perfect than we all imagined! The owners were very friendly and Marie the coordinator was amazing. Our wedding dinner was made by the owner and it was so delicious. I couldn’t recommend this property more- we can’t wait to go back one day."

"This is a beautiful house with the most spectacular view down the valley! Kids and adults loved the pool, either jumping in repeatedly or relaxing on the sun loungers. The house itself is huge, well equipped and a cool escape when the temperature rose. The location of the house is on a road but that didn’t bother us. We had a hire car which we felt was essential ( although there was a small bus that regularly went past the house) it was a short drive to the nearest village (you can’t walk anywhere from the house due to the road and the steep terrain) there is a lovely gelato place in Monti, a good Lidl in Aulla and we had an amazing lunch up the road in Comano after a great walk. We did a lot of driving in order to visit various sites but the Italian roads and tolls were easy to navigate and the scenery is so beautiful. Trips we made: Pisa, Portofino and Santa Margherita Ligure and we particularly like the town of Lerici. We had a great holiday and I’m missing that wonderful view from the pool!"

"Unbelievably stunning setting. You will need to be a confident driver to manage the roads up to the house as the roads are steep and winding as you would expect in Tuscany. The smell of Jasmine and the natural peaceful surrounding beauty is amazing. We used the pool everyday and enjoyed a bbq too. We loved the little lizards, flamboyant butterflies and stargazing at night. There is a great cafe about 29 minutes walking up the hill with a lovely atmosphere and a small local shop to get essentials from. Lots of lovely memories, thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

"Extremely well equipped and comfortable villa with spectacular views. Small but beautifully clean pool with plenty of seating areas within well maintained outdoor space. Inside the villa has everything anyone could need to cater for larger parties, however during our stay we found the downstairs bedroom and shower room had a unpleasant damp smell and the attic room was in the eaves with restricted headroom. For the two of us it was very comfortable as the main bedroom was delightful with plenty of wardrobes and another shower room on the same level. The villa is an hour from the autostrade and the drive up the mountains was somewhat hair raising at times. We were very disappointed that the local restaurant was closed which meant at least 20 minutes drive to eat out. However every restaurant we ate at was superb. We had an extremely enjoyable stay here but I would not recommend taking young children or anyone with mobility issues. Massimo and Christians are superb hosts and very helpful and the villa is delightful if you don’t mind driving to go out and about. Ideal area for cyclists and hikers."
