"A lovely cottage in a quiet location. Nice pub within walking distance. We were nearly put off by the bad reviews, but really glad we booked! OK this is not 5* accommodation, but it isn’t advertised as that. Nicely presented and decorated, clean, has everything you need. Wi-Fi is not good. We really enjoyed our stay at the woodlands."

Jerry was easy to reach and responded very quickly to all our communications. Our train was late and we had a bad experience traveling to York. "Really lovely apartment just outside the city walls. Spotlessly clean, really comfortable and with everything you need for a great stay. Little extras including, sourdough bread, butter, preserves, milk, coffee, tea, orange juice, cereals, chocolate , wine and a treat from Betty's all made it feel really special and that you are very welcome. Lovely village with amenities and buses to York. Park and ride option just a short drive away by a great designer outlet.
