"Read the reviews before we booked 2 rooms for 2 nights at over ยฃ1000, was skeptical about the buffet breakfast, room not being cleaned and the pool being closed, had stayed at another village hotel recently and had a great experience. The breakfast was ok, but could have been more choice and a bit better, the rooms were refreshed on our request, surprisingly the pool was closed for our entire stay, which was one the main reasons we booked this hotel, for the kids. The gym was nice. We paid a premium to stay in August, but not worth more than ยฃ150 per night in my opinion. Inc breakfast Hermine on reception was very nice."

"The hotel is on Victoria St., the best location in Edinburgh. Clean room and good amenities. We enjoyed dinner at โCommons Clubโ. The library next to the reception was nice touch."
