Newcastle Arms Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"I only stayed a few hours, and I couldnt put anything down, I arrived late at night someone was helpful and showed me to my room, the staff played with my kiddo in the morning while she cooed at them (shes 1 year and 5 months) during breakfast! It was amazing, I an excited to come back someday!"

The Queens Head Hotel Self Check In
8/10 Good
"On line book in. Which worked. A breakfast hamper continental style which worked well. Room had everything needed for a two day stay. Its a downhill slope walk of 14 minutes from Railway station and a bit longer going back. Local buses close. Plenty of local cafes and fish and chip shops handy. Location very good for walking the town walls. The absence of staff seen did not distract from what was a pleasent stay.I would use the hotel again if visiting the area."

East Horton Farmhouse
8/10 Good
"Big country house in which all three b&b rooms have a view to the front, which is lovely. The rooms are clean, bright and country-style comfortable; mine had a large bed, good quality bedding and an adjoining bathroom with decent shower/hot water, but complimentary shower products in sachets are always a bugbear of mine - usually too difficult to open if you haven’t brought scissors. I gave up. Luckily there were also some mini bottles of stuff. So from a comfort point of view, the room was good. What was strange - and I wasn’t sure whether to include this but it did really jar with me - was the welcome. It maybe feels unfair to judge a b&b on the friendliness of the hosts because staff being professionally detached can seem pretty normal for a hotel. But here, where you need to interact directly with them, it was immediately odd. Zero interest in you as a guest, no pleasantries at all when you arrive, rather you are shown up to your room and immediately ‘processed’. I was a bit taken aback. The hosts asks open questions, eg “What time would you like breakfast?” and when you say 9am would be great, replies that you can’t have breakfast at 9, as they only serve between 8 and 8:45. Same for “What would you like for breakfast?” I asked for a cheese omelette and was met with a long cool stare followed by: “I’ll have to see if I can manage that”. In summary, perfectly good accommodation, but don’t expect a warm welcome."

The Lindisfarne Inn - The Inn Collection Group

"great accommodation. staff were really helpful and friendly."

The Home Arms Guesthouse
8/10 Good
"Very clear instructions how to sign in. Room was lovely with a view of the sea and very good value for money! They even let me know that the carpark was going to be out of use due to the local festival taking place in the carpark. Only slight issue was the very good selection of books available that I couldn't possibly read in one night!! 😅! All in all a very nice place! 👍"
