"Lovely peaceful place, lodge was very nice a spacious. Jot tub was good but i think thr decking might need renewing.. There were a lot of flies, so perhaps citronella candles and a fly screen would work. Beds very comfortable and clean. Kitchen well stocked with crockery and pans. "

Marvellous friendly ,helpful staff, good quality breakfast/evening meals , comfortable bed/pillows, fluffy towels, good selection of drinks in the bar, comfy seating in bar , fab Edwardian hotel with a must see staircase and thick plush carpets. I used multi story car park across the road Friday night to Sunday noon £21. I would certainly go back to the Royal hotel. "

"I have given five stars all round as it was well deserved. The bed was very comfortable, there was a wine cooler/fridge and a safe in the room, plenty of hanging and drawer space in the triple wardrobe. The room was much better than we had expected. "
