"Didn't look at the pool as it was too cold being late winter! Very comfortable and clean rooms, great dinner in the dining room, helpful receptionists, and a very nice and helpful night watchman, Ben, making the place feel safe. Good to drive the car through the gates at night too, even though the Himeville and Underberg areas feel safe."

"We had a great stay at Moorcroft for two nights. Couple of tips: 1) Exit at Howick off N3 as the roads are paved, 2) Bring rain gear as it rained quite a bit when we were there, 3) Aim to arrive before sunset as it gets quite dark on the roads, 4) The kitchen closes at 8:30 p.m. and there aren’t too many options nearby. The check-in process was fast and we were shown to our room with a very welcoming ambiance, a large bathroom, and a small outdoor terrace. WiFi was strong. The bathroom could use a bit of modernization by having a larger sink and more shelves. Dinner at the restaurant was great, and we truly enjoyed the curry and spring rolls. However, the steak we had on the first night was overcooked (medium rare became more medium). The service overall was fine, but the trainer definitely needed more training (a teacup was refilled with just hot water - where the tea bag was removed). The surroundings were very peaceful and idyllic. The turn-down service was a nice touch. The spa closes at 5 p.m., which was slightly disappointing since that’s when guests would enjoy the most from returning the day trip. "
