"I've booked for two nights. At arrival they couldn't find our reservation to begin with. After waiting for 45 minutes the gave us a key to a room on the 1 floor. My room was the last on the corridor who was/in service. The other rooms after my room were out of service and there were safety shoes outside the room next to the open doors. In the corridor to my room ware a lot a bags with food leftovers in there corner. They stayed there for more than 30 hours. Thats how long we manage to stay there. In the hotel stayed like 50 construction workers who made sure we knew that they were present. They watched tv with their doors open till late in the morning. After eleven o'clock we went to the reseption to ask if the could stop working so we can get a good night sleep. After have an hour, they stopped. That night I barricade my door with my luggage and slept with my razor under my pillow. I travel a lot, but I have never felt so unsafe in my life. There was no hot water, no INTERNET, warderobe door was broken, toilet was broken but funtional. In the shower was no shower head installed. Just a pipe out of the wall. The sheets were worn-out and dirty. The only good thing were the towels. We were so dissapointed with the stay, that after lunch we booked a hotel in Panama City and drove back. "

"If enjoy and appreciate nature this is a wonderful place. You have all the basics necessary for unforgettable stay. The local people are very nice and welcoming. The see is magnificent.! "

"Jim was a great host from the start. Super friendly, accomidating, always ready to give recommendations, arrange anything I needed. Jim is just a great host and a lovely guy. The place itself is in a beautiful remote location right on the sea front with its own pier. The house is just outside of the small town of Jose del Mar. It can be quite the adventure to find the first time and would recommend a 4x4 if driving. But Jim will happily guide you in. The nearest mini supermarket is a 20-30 minute drive away, with a great restaurant (Panamarina) only 15 mins by car. The place is comfortable, clean and well furnished. The wifi reliable which is incredible given the location. The only small thing is its worth giving the pans and plates a quick clean before cooking. In summary, amazing host, lovely place and a great remote escape into nature."

"A nice house with ocean view was proposed. We got a house with a huge orange wall right in front of the sea. No view. House was not clean. More than half of the lightbulbs were not working. Stove and oven not working. Could not open the bedroom access to the balcony, door was in bad shape and full of crap. Not at all what we have paid for. Owner should be honest and tell remote his house with the ugly wall blocking the view. We were stolen of our few first days of vacation. We had to go somewhere else !! This house should be off the market."
