"Friendly staff in this hotel, food excellent and varied. Lovely big bedroom, comfy beds with vintage furniture, bathroom could do with a bit of a makeover. Superb view looking over the river with the swans and ducks. No lift in the hotel so I did struggle with the stairs."

"I stayed at the Jester while I was in the area for business. Bas and his chef Derek bent over backwards to accommodate during what was a very difficult time for them at the tail end of the second lockdown. With no other staff to support them, and making preparations for the reopening, they still found time to make sure I had access to evening meals and breakfast, despite the fact they had no reason to open the kitchen, just to serve me. "A beautiful, welcoming, clean and airy hotel, with an abundance of facilities, including a pool and spa facilities. It came recommended to us by my friend, who visits it regularly. All the staff members were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing and catered for vegan and gluten free well. The location was a distance from town but it was situated next to the train station (Cambridge North) and buses outside the entrance. The parking was plentiful - the station car park run privately, that backs onto the hotel. It can be paid for online, when you park. "
